We haven't had a storm like this here in a long time. After all, there is nothing to stand for. It's enough if it rains "normally".
I hope your Woody is not traumatized by storms like this.
I always somehow "make an agreement" with Sofia :-).
Have a nice rest of your Sunday and a happy new week.

Woody simply goes into zoned out state immediately if I miss time not giving him a rescue tablet (all herbal safe for dogs), there is little to nothing I can do except comfort him.
Hugs to Sofia and take care of yourself, wonderful new week hopefully!
Our dogs basically do not react to thunderstorms. It is worse on New Year's, when there is a lot of noise from fireworks and firecrackers. We take them with us and when we pet them, they tolerate it better.
I "scratched Sofia behind the ear" for you :-).
Woody cannot stand noise of any kind, not having him since a puppy I think a lot has to do with his previous family neglect.
Have a great day !LUV
Dogs are generally picky about noise.
Sometimes even the best "upbringing" won't help against this
Sensitive ears, much better than ours, have never had a dog that gets so traumatized by any odd weather.
With dogs it is like with people. Maybe he experienced some threatening situation in a past life related to a lot of noise and now he "remembers" it every time there is a storm.
He had a rough time at his first five year home, we understand some of his reasons for odd behaviour.
So this will probably be the real cause of his behavior in stressful situations.
