Wczoraj zderzyliśmy się z bezsensownymi decyzjami biurokratów. Najpierw córka trafiła na wybitnego urzędnika, który stwierdził, że przedstawiła nieodpowiedni dokument potwierdzający jej urodzenie. Córka miała ze sobą oficjalny międzynarodowy ODPIS aktu urodzenia, gdzie każda linijka jest przetłumaczona na francuski. Pan z okienka stwierdził, że ona musi dostarczyć KOPIĘ aktu urodzenia, z tłumaczeniem przez tłumacza na terenie Belgii i dokument nie może być starszy niż 6 miesięcy. Nie wiem, czym różni się ODPIS od KOPII? Sprawdzałem jaki dokument otrzymam z polskiego USC, okazało się, że taki sam, jaki posiadam, a tłumaczenie nie jest potrzebne, bo dokument jest dwujęzyczny. Wątpliwości mam też w kwestii daty takiego dokumentu, w mojej ocenie odpis aktu urodzenia nie ulega przedawnieniu, ale mogę się mylić.

[ENG] Yesterday we were confronted with absurd decisions by bureaucrats. First of all, my daughter was confronted by a senior official who said that she had presented an inadequate document to prove her birth. The daughter had the official international ODPIS of her birth certificate with every line translated into French. The man at the window said that she had to present a COPY of the birth certificate with a translation by a translator in Belgium and that the document could not be older than 6 months. I don't know what the difference is between a COPY and a PRESCRIPTION? I checked what kind of document I would get from the Polish registry office, it turned out to be the same as the one I have, and a translation is not needed because the document is bilingual. I also have doubts about the date of such a document, in my opinion the copy of the birth certificate is not out of date, but I could be wrong.

Później pojechaliśmy do bazy przedłużyć dokumenty gwarantujące nam wstęp na teren bazy. Pani, która przedłużała nam dokumenty, poinformowała nas, że dokument dla córki zostanie przedłużony tylko do dnia jej 26 urodzin, wtedy ponownie będzie musiała zawnioskować o przedłużenie dokumentu na taki sam okres, jaki mam ja. Okazało się, że problem jest w odznaczeniu odpowiedniego pola w formularzu, obecnie zgodnie z prawdą zaznaczyłem pole "DAUGHTER". Żeby przedłużyć jej ten dokument, będę musiał w formularzu zaznaczyć "OTHER". Podobno to wynika z jakiegoś ustawienia w programie komputerowym.

[ENG] Later we went to the base to renew the documents that guarantee us access to the base. The lady renewing our documents told us that our daughter's document would only be renewed until her 26th birthday, at which point she would have to apply again to renew the document for the same period as me. It turned out that the problem was that I had not ticked the appropriate box on the form, I had truthfully ticked the 'DAUGHTER' box. To extend it to her I need to tick 'OTHER' on the form. Apparently this is due to a setting in the computer program.

Po takich przygodach pojechaliśmy odwieźć córkę do Brukseli, wróciliśmy późnym wieczorem, zabrakło czasu na aktywność fizyczną z prawdziwego zdarzenia, liczę na to, że w sobotę będzie okazja do porządnego długiego biegania.

[ENG] After such adventures, we went to Brussels to pick up our daughter, came back late in the evening, ran out of time for real physical activity, I hope to have the opportunity for a decent long run on Saturday.
