W środę dostałem dwie wiadomości dotyczące zamówionych mebli. Pierwsza z nich była dla nas niekorzystna, bo okazało się, że litewski sklep internetowy nie wywiąże się z umowy w terminie i zamówione meble polskiej firmy będą dostarczone dopiero w styczniu. Zaskoczyła nas ta wiadomość, bo liczyliśmy, że w przeciwieństwie do belgijskiego sklepu będą terminowi. Kilka minut później przyszła druga wiadomość z belgijskiego sklepu, że zamówiona sofa jest do odbioru w sklepie. Ta wiadomość nas również zaskoczyła, bo przy zamawianiu w sklepie usłyszeliśmy, że termin realizacji wynosi 6-12 tygodni, natomiast na potwierdzeniu zamówienia sofy doczytałem po czasie, że przewidywany termin realizacji między 52 tygodniem 2024 roku, a 11 tygodniem 2025 roku. Nijak to się miało do ustnych zapewnień sprzedawcy. Na nasze szczęście nie były to słowa wypowiedziane na wiatr, bo zamówienie było gotowe do odbioru w 10 tygodniu od zamówienia.

[ENG] On Wednesday, I received two messages concerning the furniture we had ordered. The first was bad news for us because it turned out that the Lithuanian online shop would not fulfil the contract on time and the furniture ordered from the Polish manufacturer would not be delivered until January. We were surprised by this information, as we had expected them to deliver on time, unlike the Belgian shop. A few minutes later I received a second message that the sofa we had ordered was ready to be picked up in the shop. This message also surprised us because when we ordered from the shop we had been told that the delivery time would be 6-12 weeks, whereas on the order confirmation for the sofa I read over and over again that the expected delivery time was between 52 week of 2024 and 11 week of 2025. This was nowhere near the verbal assurances given by the salesman. Fortunately for us, these were not words to the wind, as the order was ready for collection by week 10 of the order.

Jeszcze w środę szybko zarezerwowałem samochód w wypożyczalni, a w czwartek pojechaliśmy odebrać zamówioną sofę. Wszystko poszło sprawnie i już po południu ustawiliśmy sofę w odnowionym pokoju córki. Ona ucieszyła się, bo będzie miała gdzie spać, kiedy przyjedzie na święta do domu. Dzień bez treningu, ale cały czas w biegu, bo później pojechałem umyć samochód, a po powrocie do domu ubrałem choinkę.

[ENG] I quickly booked the car with the car hire company on Wednesday and on Thursday we went to Halle to collect the sofa we had ordered. Everything went smoothly and by the afternoon we had the sofa in our daughter's redecorated room. She was delighted to have a place to sleep when she comes home for Christmas. A day without training, but always on the run as I had to wash the car afterwards and put the Christmas tree up when I got home.
