Wczoraj byłem umówiony z dealerem na odbiór dokumentów potrzebnych do rejestracji samochodu. Z tego, co dowiedziałem się, to samochód jeszcze do nich nie dotarł, ale szczęśliwie dla mnie dokumenty już tak. Kilka tygodni temu byłem zapobiegliwy i umówiłem się na rejestracje pojazdu w środę (czyli dziś). Gdybym chciał to zrobić wczoraj po otrzymaniu dokumentów od dealera, to pierwszy wolny termin był za dwa tygodnie. W związku z procedurą, której podlegam, liczę na to, że za dwa tygodnie to już odbiorę auto z salonu.

[ENG] Yesterday I had an appointment with the dealer to collect the documents needed to register the car. From what I found out, the vehicle has yet to arrive, but luckily for me, the papers have. A couple of weeks ago, I was precautionary and made an appointment to register the vehicle on Wednesday (which is today). If I had wanted to do it yesterday after receiving the documents from the dealer, the first available appointment was in a fortnight. Due to the procedure, I have to follow, I'm counting on picking up the car from the dealership in a fortnight.

Korzystając z okazji, że pojechaliśmy do salonu w Halle zabrałem żonę i teścia do Sint-Pieters-Lee UW na spacer po parku Coloma. Byłem w tym parku kilka lat temu przy okazji czekania na serwis samochodu, ale wtedy widziałem park i ogród różany w zimowej odsłonie. Obiecałem sobie wtedy, że kiedyś powrócę tam na wiosenny lub letni spacer, kiedy to można podziwiać w pełni kwitnące tam różne odmiany róź. 15-hektarowy ogród różany w Coloma, w którym można wyróżnić ponad trzy tysiące odmian róż z całego świata, jest wspaniałym miejscem na spacery.

[ENG] Taking the opportunity of going to the dealership in Halle, I took my wife and father-in-law to Sint-Pieters-Lee UW for a walk in Coloma Park. I had been to this park a few years ago while waiting for the car's service, but then I saw the park and the rose garden in its winter glory. I promised myself I would return there one day for a spring or summer walk to admire the different varieties of roses in full bloom. Coloma's 15-hectare rose garden, which features more than three thousand varieties of roses worldwide, is a beautiful place to walk.

Park i znajdujący się w jego sercu nieduży XVIII wieczny zamek nosi imię Karela de Coloma, szambelana cesarzowej i królowej Marii Teresy Habsburg. Coloma w wyniku ślubu z baronową Eugenią Roose stał się właścicielem zamku. Po II wojnie światowej w zamku mieściła się szkoła z internatem, a od 1982 roku przeszedł w zarząd Regionu Flamandzkiego. Dwa lata później władze gminy Sint-Pieters-Lee UW odkupiły zamek i rozpoczęły jego odbudowę i renowację. Obecnie mieści się w nim gminne centrum kultury. Pod koniec lat osiemdziesiątych ubiegłego wieku zrodził się pomysł ogrodu kwiatowego, z racji tego, że nazwisko byłej właścicielki tego terenu baronowej Eugenii Roose oznacza „Róża” to wybór mógł być tylko jeden.

[ENG] The park and the small 18th-century castle at its heart are named after Karel de Coloma, chamberlain to the Empress and Queen Maria Theresa of Habsburg. Coloma became the castle's owner due to his marriage to Baroness Eugenia Roose. After the Second World War, the castle housed a boarding school, and from 1982 it passed into the administration of the Flemish Region. Two years later, the municipality of Sint-Pieters-Lee UW bought back the castle and started its restoration and renovation. It now houses the municipality's cultural centre. At the end of the 1980s, the idea of a flower garden was born; as the name of the former owner of the area, Baroness Eugenia Roose, means 'Rose', there could only be one choice.

[ENG] Between 1994 and 1995, the vegetable bed gave way to the first rose garden. Since then, the garden has developed into the magnificent collection of roses it has today. Most important, Flemish recognised the idea of a rose garden for rose breeders. The best gardeners offered their most representative varieties. By the end of the 20th century, there were around 250 roses to admire in the garden. In 2009, the Japanese rose garden with more than 150 varieties was opened; three years later, the Chinese rose garden was officially opened.

Ogród różany Coloma można „zwiedzać” za darmo codziennie przez cały rok, z wyjątkiem poniedziałków. Ale park jest otwarty cały rok, więc nawet w poniedziałki można podziwiać kwiaty w ogrodach japońskim i chińskim, które są w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie zamku i wieży.

[ENG] The Coloma rose garden can be 'visited' for free every day of the year except Mondays. But the park is open all year round, so even on Mondays, you can admire the flowers in the Japanese and Chinese gardens, which are near the castle and tower.
