Sobota to ostatni dzień krótkiego urlopu, niestety w Belgii pogoda wciąż nie rozpieszcza. Przed południem zebrałem się, żeby w domu zrobić zadany trening siłowy. Muszę sam się pochwalić, że idzie mi co raz lepiej, z większością ćwiczeń nie mam problemów, jedynie liczba powtórzeń sprawia mi kłopoty, żeby wszystkie wykonać potrzebuję czasami chwilę przerwy na złapanie oddechu.

[ENG] Saturday is the last day of a short holiday. Unfortunately, the weather is still not spoiling in Belgium. Before noon I got together to do the prescribed strength training at home. I have to boast that it's getting better and better. I have no problems with most of the exercises. It's just the number of repetitions that gives me trouble. I sometimes need a break to catch my breath to do them all.

Po południu dla równowagi wybrałem się na spacer po deszczowym Mons. Z córką pojechaliśmy na zakupy do centrum handlowego po drugiej stronie miasta. Ona wróciła do domu samochodem, a ja pieszo. Chciałem przekonać się na własne oczy jak rozkopane jest centrum miasta. Kostka brukowa na kilku ulicach prowadzących od dworca do centrum miasta została zerwana. Nie wiem czy ma to związek ze zbliżającym końcem budowy nowego dworca, który miał być oddany do użytku w 2015 roku. Zaawansowanie prac wskazuje, że wielkie otwarcie może dokonać się nawet w tym roku.

[ENG] In the afternoon, I went for a walk in rainy Mons for balance. My daughter and I went shopping at the shopping centre on the other side. She returned home by car, and I walked. I wanted to see for myself how ditched the city centre is. The paving stones on several streets leading from the station to the city centre have been ripped up. It has nothing to do with the impending completion of the new station, which was due to be completed in 2015. The progress of the work indicates that the grand opening may even take place this year.

Miasto w taką pogodę wygląda wyludnione, tylko na Grand Place jak zwykle tłumy. Nawet fontanna działa, mimo tego, że ciągle pada. Koło młyńskie postawione na placu z okazji wiosennego festynu miało być najwiekszą atrakcją festynu, z uwagi na pogodę stało bezużytecznie, ale do końca festynu jeszcze tydzień, może będzie okazja podziwiać panoramę Mons z lotu ptaka.

[ENG] The city looks deserted in this weather, with only the Grand Place crowded as usual. Even the fountain is working, although it is still raining. The mill wheel erected in the square for the spring fete was supposed to be the biggest attraction of the fete, it stood useless because of the weather, but the fete is still a week away. Maybe there will be a chance to admire the panorama of Mons from a bird's eye view.
