Winner Winner!

Just like that, the NFL season is over. Can you believe it? I still have to admit, I am at a bit of a loss over the way this all played out. Seeing how much the Eagles dominated the game, I am not sure the Lions would have had a chance of getting past them.

Let's say they somehow did manage to get by Washington that one week. Their defense was so battered and bruised that Saquon, Hurts, and Brown would have given them absolute fits. There is no doubt about it. Sure, they probably would have put up some scores themselves, but in the end, it would have been an old fashioned shoot out.

No matter how much grit they had, I don't think the Lions could have come out on top in that one. Now, give me a healthy Lions team and I think they are still the best in the league. I'd love to see that next year. My hope is that the coaching changes won't impact them too much. Meanwhile, I also hope they can shore up the defense and get some pieces in place to get on the hype train next year.

This year should be a wake up call for them that they need to have contingencies in place for when mass casualties happen. It's just common sense.

On the fantasy side of things, @mrsbozz and I appear to have turned an absolutely horrible regular season into a pretty amazing post season with The Second Season fantasy league that my brother in law started. Unfortunately, this post season league wins you nothing unlike our regular season league. That's usually the way it goes isn't it?

My wife came in first place and I came in second place in the league. Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I picked my wife's team for her. She was honestly so disinterested that the only thing she did was pick the name of her team which I have omitted here.

Honestly, it does make me feel a little better to know that I am not a complete moron when it comes to NFL football. Despite what my regular season fantasy team would indicate.

I've heard a lot of people say they thought the game on Sunday night was absolute crap. Most of them seem to be people who either like the Chiefs or people who hate the Eagles. I think it was a pretty great game, of course, I don't really care for the Chiefs that much.

I think my biggest fear was that it would be a close game that eventually came down to a handful of calls that clearly favored KC as we have seen countless times through the year. I don't like the idea of the officials or Vegas handing the game to Mahomes and his crew.

Thankfully, that scenario was taken out of play with the massive onslaught from Philly. Hats off to them for that.

Speaking of Vegas. My Lions may have not been in the Superbowl, but I was able to win $200 from one of the boards that I participated in. It was nice to see that Venmo transfer into my account. Not too bad for a $40 buy in!

Gotta love the squares. I hit halftime on @summertooth pool this year. Could have got 3rd quarter too.. but some asshat decided to go for 2 instead of just kicking the extra point..

Same thing happened to me with the third quarter. I get why they did it, but man it would have been sweet to win $400 instead of $200. Congrats on hitting with the HIVE board!
