Superbowl? More like SuperBlah
I can't tell you the last time I watched an entire Superbowl all the way through. It probably hasn't been since my twenties if I had to guess. I vaguely remember some parties here and there, but most of that part of my life is a blur.
Typically, this is how my Superbowl Sunday goes these days... I wait for the game to come on, @mrsbozz and I watch the first half, she floats off to bed usually by the time the second quarter starts. I stay up an watch the halftime show, then I come to bed.
At some point in the middle of the night I wake up and decide to look at my phone and see who won. I fall back asleep and move on with my life.
I've gotten the process down pretty well over the past several years.
There are some school districts that give their employees the Monday after the Superbowl off, but not ours. Perhaps it is because we get the first day of firearm deer season off. Who knows.
What I do know, is that we have to be up at 4 on Monday morning to work out and get ready for school, so staying up until who knows when watching a game that goes into overtime, is not an option.
There are likely going to be a lot of people dragging this morning.
To be fair, I didn't really care about the game anyway. Sure, I was cheering for San Fransisco, but that's mainly because I have always like Joe Montana. That and the fact that I don't think KC deserved to be there. Many might argue with me given the fact that they won, but honestly, I feel if the Lions hadn't suffered their meltdown against the 49ers, they could have easily beaten the KC team I saw on the field last night.
No Question.
In fact, I think there are a lot of other teams that could have beaten the KC team on the field last night. KC had a pretty average season when you look at it. It's only the fact that they got hot towards the end of the season that they ended up where they did.
Either that or it was some Taylor Swift Voodoo magic.
I gotta be honest, I get tempers and emotions are high in a game like this, but if Taylor isn't asking some tough questions after watching Kelce behave like a child on the sidelines and push his coach around, I might lose a little respect for her. She deserves better than that.
In all, this game was just "Meh" for me. Again, people will probably argue that fact given it went into overtime and ended in thrilling fashion, but for me... yawn.
I did feel that the music was good. Andra Day is always amazing to watch. Post Malone did absolutely fantastic as he leaned into his newfound love for country music. Reba was Reba, she isn't my favorite, but she did well.
Usher was everything I expected him to be. I felt he did a really good job. I feel like there was more dancing than singing, but I guess when it comes to pop/R&B music, that is going to be the case.
Was it just me or did she seem to get a bit handsy with Alicia Keys? She's a queen and deserves a bit more respect than that in my opinion, but as I said, the music was good.
It was nice to see Lil John and Ludicrous make a cameo on the final song. HER rocked pretty hard as well.
Did you watch the Superbowl? How was it for you?
That was strange and Kelce might end up regretting that. I wonder if all the fame he has been getting lately is going to his head?
Yeah, I am not sure. According to the coach he was saying he wanted to go in because he would get them the touchdown. He seems to be okay with it, so maybe we just need to move on. It still wasn't a good look though. He needs to realize he has a much larger lens on him now given who he is dating. His actions don't just impact him anymore.
