Sports to keep an eye on this weekend
I kind of feel like a broken record at this point, but this is the final weekend of softball that my niece will be playing in Ohio for the fall season. I will be the first to admit I do a horrible job of keeping up with her schedule and I honestly though this weekend happened several weekends ago.
In fact, I was wrong (there, I said it), and this weekend is her last one before she heads to play one final weekend in Tennessee.
I will definitely be watching her play via the Game Changer streaming service that most of the teams use. Thankfully, her current team does a good job of staying on top of recording and streaming the games. This gives us the chance to follow along even when we can't be there.
In addition to that, I will definitely be watching the Michigan State/Minnesota game at 3:30 on Saturday. This is a good chance for the Spartans to get a needed win this season. The Golden Gophers have been struggling a bit and even though the game is in Minnesota, I think MSU could pull off a rare road win.
Then again, they might just suck like they have been.
The Lions get a coveted Monday night spot this week, so there is actually a good chance I won't be able to watch that game since it is on a school night. I will be cheering for them, and I hope that they can turn things around from the embarrassing loss they suffered last week. I have a feeling they are going to be hungry and out for blood, so we will see if that makes a difference.
Vegas doesn't have the best record in the NFL, but they haven't been doing horrible this season either. They have the potential to throw a wrench in the Lions plans. That home crowd for Detroit is going to be a definite plus on the Lions side.
Finally, if you are a baseball fan, the World Series starts tonight with Game 1 happening at 8:03 PM in Texas. If I had to pick a team I was cheering for, it would probably be Texas. I really wanted to see Philly win the series, but at this point a Rangers win wouldn't make me upset.

I will be watching the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday night plus World Cup cricket which is on every day currently. Happy to see sports is dominating your weekend entertainment as well.
It sounds like it was a pretty good game from what I have read. There was a lot of interesting stuff on this weekend in the US.
