Rivalry Weekend is Here!
I promise, I'm nearly done sharing the photos of my nieces softball games from last weekend. Okay, I'm probably not, but like I said before, they are some really good shots, I can't help but show them off. Plus, I don't get to take any more live photos of her games until next Spring, so I need to use what I have.
In between some weekend chores I have ahead of me and watching the stream of my nieces games, you better believe I will be watching some college football this weekend.
I don't know if you have heard, but there is a pretty big game this weekend in the state of Michigan this weekend. Oddly enough, while many people expected this to be a ranked match up between Michigan and Michigan State, that isn't the case anymore now that U of M has fallen out of the top 25.
I think there is a good portion of the population in Michigan that is a lot more nervous about this game than they were at the beginning of the year. Likewise, there are probably a lot of people (myself included) who are much more hopeful about this game than we were at the beginning of the season.
I saw a headline the other day and it basically indicated that this game will be a story of two teams that are heading in two different directions. All I can say is "Go Green"!
Meanwhile, there are a couple other games that you might want to keep an eye on. Here's a hint... That Ohio State/Nebraska game isn't one of them.
Instead, if you had to pick a couple of ranked games to key in on this weekend. These are my recommendations:
Notre Dame versus Navy. I expect Notre Dame will win this game, but both teams have pretty solid records this season and they have been seeing a lot of success. It could be a good match up. Illinois Oregon could be a good game too, but Oregon is the number 1 team for a reason, so barring some major fluke, they will probably win.
Missouri/Alabama could be a really good game too. I mean, nothing makes me happier than Alabama losing except maybe Ohio State, and Michigan losing. Only one of those seems like a possibility this weekend.
Finally, maybe check out that Wisconsin/Penn State game and the LSU/Texas A&M game. Those are two match ups that could be quite exciting. I might even put some money down on them, but for your sake I am not going to share which team I would be betting on!
