NFL Football Recap Week 7: Same old story...

I don't know about you, but this NFL season feel really weird to me. Teams that you would expect to be dominating are falling flat, teams that you expect to be horrible are doing well. It is almost like we are seeing the end of an era.
Meanwhile, the Lions continue to be consistently horrible. At least you know you can count on them.
With the exception of Mahomes since he is still somewhere in the middle, it feels like the old guard is losing a step. Brady, Rogers, and Stafford all seem to have lost a step. Their team performance is reflecting that. Meanwhile you have some outstanding talent rising to the top.
I don't know, it just seems weird to me.
I had a pretty lazy weekend for the first time in quite a while this weekend. I settled into the couch and got ready to watch what I thought was going to be a pretty good game between the Lions and the Cowboys.
I really can't stand the Cowboys, so I was kind of hoping for a miracle win from them. They actually looked pretty good for most of the game until they didn't.
Goff is just horrible. I don't know what else to say. At least Stafford had an excuse when he was with the Lions. Goff is just worthless. I don't know why they continue to stick with these nothing players. It is a joke. As someone said, there is a reason the Rams got rid of him...
My betting went off the rails this weekend, but I will get to that in a couple of days...
Probably the biggest shocker of the weekend was the Commanders edging out Green Bay with a 23 to 21 win. A close second would be the Browns/Ravens game that saw Baltimore coming away with a 23 to 20 win.
Kansas City put the smack down on San Francisco which I actually find a bit surprising given it was a home game for them.
I think if I had to pick a team to win it all right now, I would probably go with the Bills. I really like what they have been building over the past couple of years there.
Then again, I don't know.
I mean, listen to these teams that have one or fewer losses on the season:
Philadelphia 6 - 0
NY Giants 6 - 1
Minnesota 5 - 1
Buffalo 5 - 1
It's like this is some kind of bizzaro world. I don't even know how to wrap my head around it.
Then when you consider the teams that only have two losses, it gets even crazier.
The Jets (believe it or not yes)
Tennessee (that one isn't surprising)
Kansas City
Dallas
I don't know, but that NFC East bracket is going to be a barn burner. Only one of the four teams has more than two loses.
Minnesota seems primed to run away with the NFC North division, The rest of the NFC is anybodies guess. It's possible we will see some wild card teams with absolutely horrible records.
As of right now, it doesn't look like the Lions are going to be anywhere near the playoffs. I think they still have a win or two left in them this season, but beyond that, I think they need to start looking towards next season and how they are going to right this ship that has been sinking for over a decade.
