It's almost time for Fall Ball

It shouldn't be too long now and fall ball is going to be starting. No, I'm not talking about that sport where they throw and kick a brown ball around. Though that is also starting fairly soon as well. I think we just have one more weekend until we will be camped out on the couch on Saturday and Sunday watching our favorite university and professional teams compete.

Who am I kidding, there is zero chance my wife would let me waste a Saturday and Sunday like that!

Starting September 15th my oldest nieces university softball team will be opening their fall season. It starts with a quick game against Miami (of Ohio) University, then they play in Fort Wayne, Indiana against Purdue Fort Wayne. I think we are attending that game in person.

On the 28th they face Wittenberg University, but instead of traveling down to the Dayton area, that game is being played at Ohio State.

Probably because that same day they have a game against Ohio State. It is all part of a charity classic tournament that I think they participate in every year.

Finally, they finish their fall schedule with a game against Heidelberg University on September 29th.

Meanwhile, her younger sister who is know a senior in high school starts the fall games with her travel team just as her holder sister is finishing up.

The good thing is, all of their games are played right in Columbus, OH, so there won't be a lot of travel required.

On September 28th they have the D1 Easton/Rawlings Bat Wars so they will be playing a number of teams in that tournament.

The weekend of 10/12 they have their organizations fall showcase at the same location.

The next weekend is the America's Premier Fall Showcase, then they have the Stingray's Fall Showcase on 10/25. Finally, on 11/1 they travel back to Chattanooga, TN for the Scenic City showcase.

It's important to get some of these tournaments in so coaches can take a last look at ladies that might be committing to a school a little later in the year.

Although my niece has already committed, I wonder if her new coach will come check her out at one of the tournaments. That would be kind of cool if he did quite honestly. We will have to see.

Either way, I will be at the games either in person or watching via streaming with @mrsbozz. We have become quite the softball aunt and uncle over the years.
