Bozz Family Fantasy Football Week 7: A steemroller and a dumpster fire walk into a room...

Fantasy Football (1).png

Just in case the title of this post isn't clear enough for you. Between @mrsbozz and I, one of us did really good this past weekend and the other one didn't do well at all. I'll give you a second to guess which was which...

Think you have it figured out? I think I might have mentioned that my wife was playing my niece this week, so if you have been following my posts, it was probably pretty easy for you. If not, let me clue you in.

My niece has been running away with the top spot this year in our fantasy league. She remains the only undefeated team among the twelve of us. She wisely took advantage of a loophole that I failed to notice when I set up the draft settings. She basically hand picked her team while the rest of us waited for the computer to blindly draw our players.

Any of us could have done the same thing had we realized what was happening. Hats off to her for being astute. Shame on me for not having the settings properly calibrated ahead of time.

Sorry TL:DR, I won this week and my wife lost. Not only did she lose, she got decimated.

See that score? 168 points! That's just nuts. Absolutely nuts! Even if my wife's team had a good week they still would have fallen well short of winning. How do you even compete with 168 points? You just don't. Take the loss and move on.

At this point, I am not sure there is anyone that can beat my niece. I fully take all the blame.

As you can see, I had a bit better luck in my match-up against my sister in law. She is usually pretty competitive, so I am not sure what is going on this season. She might just be too busy with real world stuff, or she might just not care anymore. At this point she is sitting in second to last place after this loss to me.

As you can see, Brady was pretty much worthless once again this week. I think he needs to just call it and move along into retirement. It's just embarrassing at this point. He is basically the talk of the NFL for all the wrong reasons. 11.7 points is absolutely unacceptable as far as I am concerned.

Williams did pretty decent for me with 14.60 points. I'd still like to see closer to 20 points, but I will take 14.6. It looks like he is going to be out next week, so I will have to find another wide receiver to fill that slot.

London is just a joke and I am honestly not sure why I still have him on my team. He had two good weeks with over 10 points, but everything else has been horrible. The last four games he has scored less than 10 point combined. Once again, that is unacceptable.

Looking at the scores, it is pretty clear that my running backs carried me this week. Jones and especially Walker III lit things up. I think this win would have been a lot more difficult if it hadn't been for them.

I still seem to be struggling with my tight end. I can't find anyone to put up some consistent points. I was out looking at available players the other day and there is just nothing out there. With 12 teams in the league, it is pretty slim pickings when it comes to available players that are worth their salt.

Denver defense could have done a little better, but luckily the rest of my team covered them.

Meanwhile, my sister in law's team is a perfect example of how it takes more than a good quarter back to get you through. Mahomes put up a decent 27.92 points for her, but it wasn't quite enough to get her even close to me.

I don't think her bench could have even helped her against me. I will be looking at Benjamin for sure next week. 19.30 points is nothing to scoff at. It will just depend if he can do it again or if it was a one off sort of thing.

My backup quarterback is nothing to write home about, but he still put up more points than Brady. If that tells you anything...

Next week I go against the top teams sister. She hasn't been as lucky as her older sister. She is sitting at 3-4 on the season. Will she be even after facing me at 4-4 or will I pad my numbers and move up to 5-3. I currently sit at 4th place in the league. That keeps me in the playoffs, but there is still a lot of season ahead of us.

No. My wife and I are the only family that hasn't had at least one member of the family win. We are pretty horrible!
