Snow in July
Snow in July.
That’s a first for me, and it caught me off guard. I didn’t expect there to be any left, at least not on this mountain (at 1,000 meters) but I’m glad it was there because it provided a nice place to rest and cool off.
The temptation to do more.
It’s always there. I clocked a little over 27,000 steps today, hard earned steps that mostly came from inclines and declines, but part of me is saying, Why not go for 30,000, or even 40,000 steps?
It’s tempting. It really is. But today I think I’m just going to adopt the philosophy of I came. I saw. I conquered. And now I’m done.

Our mountain snowpack in the inland northwest of the US also remains above normal thanks to unusually cool weather. Washington, most of Oregon, and even much of Idaho are out of drought conditions, with a decent forecast for the remaining year.
That’s good to hear about the drought. We had a hell of a winter this past year so I’m guessing that’s why there’s still as much snow left as there is. It was fun to see and throw at my hiking partner. 😆
Good to see you back posting again. It's been a while
Thanks. I’m on a little bit of a streak right now.
Posting has been on my mind for a while, but for some reason I just couldn’t bring myself to write anything. I go in and out of phases. I think most people do.

You are back! I am so happy to see you! That is a lot of steps and I'm impressed! If I get anywhere near 25,000 I am over the moon.
It's really good to see you!
It wasn’t a typical day, by any means. And I’m still feeling every one of them four days later. 😂
It’s nice to be posting again.
That is good to hear you are human. :) I am so glad you are posting again! I appreciate that I was on the voting end of your appearance. That was the best way to keep your name in front of me and others!
Dear @boxcarblue, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago when the HBD stabilizer proposal rose above it.
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work?
You can do it on Peakd, Ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.

Thank you!
Good to see you posting! Welcome back! I am late to vote this, but will vote your reply to Denise. 😊
Thanks. That’s nice of you. 😉
I thought I would have had more posts for you to look through in the interim, but I couldn’t get them written before I went to bed. Still spending a lot of time taking care of my kids and stuff. It’s funny how simple it can be to start a new habit, but how tricky it can be to restart an old habit that you’ve fallen out of.
I wonder if that’s entirely psychological or if there is something else involved.
Could be Inertia.
An object at rest will stay at rest, and an object in motion will stay in motion 🤣
What explains coming to a sudden stand still? 😂
