Source
-The Italians are led by Roberto Baggio, who is considered one of the best footballers in the world, despite being injured for much of this season. He plays with both Brescia and Inter Milan, which should give him some great experience when he takes the field. -The Dutch have a very strong midfield that includes Frank Rijkaard and Marco van Basten. These two players are among the best in Europe right now, and they’re both capable of scoring goals with their feet or their head. -The Netherlands have a good offense, but the defense is the backbone of this team. -Jan Wouters and Ronald Koeman form an excellent central midfield duo, while Frank Rijkaard will be keeping things tight at the back with Wim Kieft. -The Dutch have never won the World Cup, but they did win the European Championship in 1988. They also played in the final of Euro 2000, losing to Italy. -The Netherlands’ best player is Marco van Basten, who plays for AC Milan in Italy. He had a stellar career with Ajax Amsterdam and the Dutch national team, scoring an amazing 125 goals in only 88 appearances. He was named European Footballer of the Year three times (1988, 1989, 1992).
