Boxing wasn't his thing
Yet boxed into the ring
A fight for his life
Never knew the time
The new champ fly
Jaw dropping upper cut
Left punch, deaf blow
The blood runs hot
His leg pacing to and fro the pitch
Couldn't take it no more
Removed the gloves
Surrender in shame
In a worthless game.

Training gone down the drain
Wife and child bowed there head
Dad's just got punch
None wanted to see the looser
Blood dripping face
Horrible to look at
Never knowing relief
Body hurts from the kicks
A parkinson coming near
Brain is growing dead
None knew the next
Body shakes like rain
Hurts like hell.

To those champions of old
To you we want our story told
Days in the gym
Months running
No friend in sight
Family went far
For the glory, greater than the past
We hunt in the ring
Defying deadly blow effecf
Dodging every kick
And still didn't win.
