When the Clouds Break: Double Walking Luck by the Canal

If there’s one thing about this weather, it’s that it keeps you guessing. Gray, misty, and cold one minute; cloudy, windy, and rainy the next. But here’s the thing about chaotic skies: they love surprising you.

Today, between gusts of wind and relentless rain, the clouds broke open, twice!!! As luck would have it, those perfect pockets of clear skies lined up with my schedule. I got not one, but TWO walks in today, totaling over 10km and almost 14,000 steps. Not bad for a day that started off looking like a moody watercolor painting.

The highlight? During my first walk, a boat casually cruised beside me along the canal for a good stretch of the route. Just for half the walk, though, it had better things to do, apparently. Can’t imagine it turning around and trailing me home like an overexcited puppy (although that visual is hilarious).

It’s moments like these, when nature aligns with your plans, that make the rain and wind worthwhile. A double dose of fresh air, some gorgeous views, and a reminder that even unpredictable days can bring unexpected wins.

How about walking between the raindrops and chasing those fleeting, perfect moments. 🌥️
