Foggy Miles, Same Vibes

Today’s walk was 7km—my trusty tracker says 13k steps. The scenery? Oh, just another foggy symphony of frosted branches and canals so still they feel like mirrors. It’s undeniably beautiful, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t craving a little variety. Or, you know, sunlight.

Walking in the same misty conditions day after day feels like Groundhog Day: fitness edition. But hey, at least the fog makes it feel mysterious, like I’m wandering through a live-action fairy tale. One where the hero eventually finds a magical orb called The Sun.

For now, though, I’ll settle for the tranquility of these repetitive views and another tick in the fitness box.

Yes, you'd have a blast, with whole new dimensions of photography opening up, too! Indeed, lots of sun (and rain), lots of gorgeous ocean, and rivers and waterfalls on older portions of the Island, like Hilo. What if Nathalie never leaves? You'll have to come get her, of course! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Yup, I can definitely live with that! And the amount of pictures I’d be shooting would be immense!!!
And for the rain, well, I actually LOVE rain, if it is like sun sun sun rain sun rain sun sun. Not like grey grey rain rain rain rain grey grey rain rain sun grey grey grey grey rain.
From december 1st until yesterday, we had a total of 32 hours of sun, and over 100mm of rain in about two weeks time (normal avg: 24mm)
That, I dislike :-) And it’s been like this for over a year now…

Yep, that's what I figured indeed! You may indeed be moving to Hawai'i, @borniet...lol! Yep, you're going to go bananas with photography here. Ditto that on alternating sun and rain. The longest that it will go here with straight clouds and rain is about a week, but that's not common.

Those numbers are ridiculous. I feel for you guys. Not fun at all. Hawai'i might come sooner than you think...lol! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Yep, that's for sure indeed! Haha...yes, we have lots of different types of bananas on the property, and they'll grow anywhere at lower elevations. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
