Chasing Winter’s Golden Hour

Winter days like these remind me why I love being outdoors. Today was one of those perfect combinations—bright sun, freezing cold, and just enough time to squeeze in two glorious walks. With the days already feeling longer (sunset at 16:55 instead of 16:15—progress!), I set out for a refreshing 11km trek, clocking in over 15k steps.

Armed with my camera and a curious spirit, I ventured along the quiet canals, where the sun danced on the water and the frost clung stubbornly to the grass. It’s amazing how the light changes everything—those golden hues reflecting off the surface made the cold air feel just a little warmer.

Not to be outdone, I tested out some DJI Neo settings and came away with shots that make me want to frame the entire day. The best part? The stillness. It’s like the world was holding its breath, just long enough for me to hit “capture.”

Winter might be cold, but days like these remind me that it’s also stunning. Here’s to more long walks, golden hours, and snapping beauty wherever it decides to show up.
