One Walk, 9k Steps, and a Win Against the Day

You know that feeling when life throws a curveball, and suddenly your two planned walks turn into just one? Yeah, today was one of those days. Between the unpredictable weather and parenting responsibilities, I barely managed to squeeze in some me-time.

But I saw it coming. So when I did get a moment, I made that lunch break count. With rain threatening to fall and a chill in the air, I picked up my pace, aiming for a little over 6km/hr. Not blazing fast, but I’m focusing on consistency over speed right now. It’s about slowly building that endurance and getting a little bit better every day.

By the end of the walk, I’d clocked almost 9,000 steps—definitely not a bad haul for a single outing. And can we talk about the scenery? There’s something magical about walking alongside a canal on a gloomy day, when the sky is heavy with clouds, and everything around you feels calm and still. It’s these quiet moments that make the effort worth it.

So yeah, I didn’t get the second walk in, but honestly? This one felt like enough. Slow progress is still progress. 👊

I noticed that when comments are edited and they (still) contain the token tipping commands for any of your bots, they consider the edit as a new comment. 😅

Yes !INDEED it was also mentioned by others.
Thinking about what to do with it, because you do want to look into edited comments for the call as well, because if I call the !WIERD bot instead of the !WEIRD one, it should respond to the fixed call in the edited comment. But we don’t want it to re-shoot for every edit over and over again…
Would require some extra development as well… Keeping track of the blocknrs that have been responded to.

Maybe each of your token tipping bots should check the permlink of the comment itself if it has already fulfilled the corresponding token tipping command, such that it will fulfill the command on the latest edit only if the comment and its edits on the permlink hasn't successfully caused the respective bot to tip its token once. 🤔🤯🤓

In other words, regardless of the number of edits, a comment with a valid token tipping command in a permlink should have made your bot tip the corresponding token exactly once. 🤓😏

That sounds like a plausible solution !INDEED !!! After I wrote the previous reply, I was also thinking about the edited block-id, due to the impermutability of the blockchain, and thus its blocks, the comment should reside in a new block, so can't check on that. The ID of the comment itself would still be an option...
Will think it through later, too tired right now :-D Have taken a note of your idea!!!
