Walking Wonders: A Day of Steps, Smiles, and Serendipity

Today was a step-counting extravaganza! I embarked on three walks—morning, noon, and after work—totaling an impressive 15,000 steps and covering 12 kilometers. This journey wasn't just about the distance; it was about the little surprises along the way, like the geese by the canal.

The geese and I have a bit of history. They’re the self-appointed guardians of the canal, usually greeting me with hisses and flapping wings. It’s their turf, and they make sure I know it every time I pass by. But today was different. As I approached with my camera, ready for the usual showdown, I was met with a surprising sight. Instead of the usual aggressive reception, they seemed almost... pleased. They waddled around, striking poses as if they were ready for their close-up. Maybe they’ve finally embraced their inner models, or perhaps they’ve grown accustomed to my presence. Either way, it was a delightful change of pace.

As I wrapped up the day with a total of 15,000 steps, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment. Walking isn’t just about physical fitness; it’s about connecting with the world around us, noticing the small wonders, and sometimes, sharing a moment with some unexpected friends like geese and such.

You got some great shots in there along the way! What a beautiful place for walk, 15K steps isn't too bad... Interesting that the geese weren't aggressive that day, normally they are mean as can be because you are on their turf. lol I have a couple parks nearby with duck and geese, they are never very friendly.

Thank you very much! Yes, it’s a lovely area, and I try to walk as much as I can!
The geese, well, that’s a different story indeed :-) since I pass by them several times a day, they started ignoring me mostly, I have noticed that it more the bikers that they are aggressive to.
