Wanderlust and Heartstrings: A 20km Journey of Steps and Stories
Today was one for the books! I started with a refreshing 10km walk post-lunch, just me, the open path, and my thoughts. There’s something incredibly therapeutic about striding through nature solo, letting the mind wander as much as the feet.
But the real magic happened later in the day. My wife, @nathalie-s, joined me for two 5km walks in the afternoon and evening. Walking together isn’t just exercise; it’s our time to reconnect, share stories, and sometimes walk in comfortable silence, just enjoying each other’s company.
In total, we clocked 20km and 26,000 steps. But numbers aside, the highlight was the shared moments—like spotting a lone poppy standing proud by the water or gazing up at the dramatic sky as the sun played hide and seek with the clouds.
Walking hand in hand, we not only covered ground but also filled our hearts with laughter, love, and meaningful conversation. Here’s to many more days like this, where fitness meets connection and nature provides the perfect backdrop. 🌿❤️🚶♂️🚶♀️ #CoupleGoals #FitnessJourney
