Formula 1: "En medio de polémicas se efectúa el segundo gran premio del año, y se confirma la supremacía de Ferrari y Red Bull", por bonzopoe

La segunda fecha de la temporada 2022 de la Formula Uno, se llevó a cabo este pasado fin de semana en medio de una polémica que afortunadamente no opacó el espectáculo.
Mientras se llevaban los entrenamientos libres, previos a la clasificación, una instalaciones de la petrolera Aramco, situada a 10kms del circuito, fue objeto de un atentado y ardió en llamas. Todo mundo esperaba que la Formula 1 suspendiera en automático la fecha, para seguridad de todos los involucrados, pero no fue así, lo que les ha valida un aluvión de críticas, y se ha vuelto un tema que seguramente será retomado en el futuro, y tendrá consecuencias difíciles de precisar en este momento.
Afortunadamente, para el espectáculo, no se presentaron más ataques y la cuestionada decisión de la Formula 1 no tuvo consecuencias que lamentar. Al día siguiente, después de las horas y horas de reuniones de pilotos, jefes de equipos y la cúpula de la Formula 1, debido a estos acontecimientos, se llevó a cabo la clasificación al Gran Premio de Arabia Saudita, y la sorpresa fue que el mexicano Sergio Pérez, se llevó la pole así como comentarios positivos y el reconocimiento de todo el mundo.

La vuelta de Pérez, fue incluso mejor que la de su compañero Max Verstappen del año pasado, y que en su momento fue sumamente comentada y motivo de elogios para el piloto holandés. Después de Pérez, quedaron los dos pilotos de Ferrari, Charles Leclerc y Carlos Saínz (en ese orden), y en cuarto lugar Max Verstappen de Red Bull, quien a la postre ganaría la carrera después de un excelente duelo en las últimas vueltas con Charles Leclerc.
En esta carrera se confirmó que al menos en el corto plazo, la lucha va a estar entre Ferrari y Red Bull, y que los cuatro pilotos de estas escuderías están a la par, por lo que si más adelante se suma Mercedes a la ecuación, tendremos un campeonato que podría ser mejor que el del 2021, lo que ya es decir mucho, pero no suena nada descabellado si evaluamos la situación actual, y comparamos estas dos primeras carreras con las del año pasado.
Al iniciar la carrera Sergio Pérez, que fue el campeón sin corona de esta fecha, estuvo impecable, como lo había estado todo el fin de semana, y se puso a la cabeza siempre a segundo y medio a dos segundos por delante de Leclerc, y si todo seguía igual tenía el podio asegurado, pero las cosas no siguieron igual, porque apenas entró a pits para cambiar neumáticos, Nicolas Latifi de la escudería Williams se estrelló contra uno de los muros, lo que ocasionó una bandera amarilla.

Todos los pilotos aprovecharon para entrar a pits a cambiar neumáticos, sin que estos les implicara perder posiciones, y el único que entró antes, Sergio Pérez, si las perdió, bajando hasta el cuarto puesto, lo que tomando en cuenta las características del circuito y lo cercanos que son en rendimiento los autos de Ferrari y Red Bull, lo condenó a quedar fuera del podio.
Al reiniciarse al carrera quedaron al frente Leclerc, seguido de Verstappen, y un poco más atrás Saínz y Pérez. Con una paciencia que no le habíamos visto con frecuencia a Verstappen, este espero su momento y en las últimas vueltas, atacó a Leclerc, a quien después de un muy buen duelo de varias vueltas de duración, logró rebasar para hacerse del primer puesto.
Aparte de la desgracias de Pérez, el duelo entre Leclerc y Verstappen, y el triunfo de este último, llamaron la atención varios abandonos, lo que nos demuestra que los equipos todavía están batallando con sus motores y la aerodinámica de sus autos, y la batalla entre los pilotos de Apine, Esteban Ocon y Fernando Alonso, quienes más que compañeros de equipo parecían acérrimos rivales, lo que extrañó a todo mundo y jugó en contra de ambos pilotos en vez de beneficiarles.

Al final tuvimos una buena carrera en lo que muchos consideran el circuito más peligroso de la Formula 1, como bien lo puede atestiguar Mick Schumacher, quien durante la clasificación se estrelló contra uno de muros a casi 300kms por hora, y que afortunadamente no sufrió lesión alguna, pero que por precaución no corrió la carrera.
El campeonato se pone interesante, y apenas van dos carreras, y los equipos tendrán quince días antes de la próxima carrera, en Australia, para tratar de mejorar sus autos. Veamos si es suficiente para que Mercedes ya se meta a la pelea, o seguirán Ferrari y Red Bull en esta batalla que libran desde la primera carrera, y que promete, y promete mucho.

I cant prove @battleaxe is the one directly doing the V2K and RNM. Doing it requires more than one person at the least. It cant be done alone. Tuvo de todo este GP @bonzopoe, desde el preocupante tema de la seguridad por lo de los posibles atentados, pasando por el (afortunadamente solo un susto soberbio) de Mick, la pole de Checo con Hamilton fuer a en Q1, el alucinante carrerón que se dispararon todos punteros, los safety cars inoportunos (al menos para Checo y Hamilton), amén de lo parejo de RB y Ferrari y la mejora indudable que van a tener los Mercedes en cualquier momento... Como tú bien lo dices "Cuidado y no estemos en el umbral de tener un campeonato incluso mejor que el de 2021"!!!...
