RE: Do You Limit Your Action and Behavior In A Fight?

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

I agree that limiting your actions in a fight is important for proper defense, but it goes beyond that as well. There can be terrible outcomes when people aren't careful and don't limit the violence of their attacks. You can injure them too much, or you can inspire them to fight too hard, resulting in a greater chance they will injure you.

Unfortunately, when people fight they are often too angry to think well. Other people should try to stop such fights instead of just standing around watching.

Completely agree with that. That's why always use reasonable force to make any move. You don't need to hurt someone pretty bad if that's not necessary to defend yourself. If you can get out of there without any fight, that's always better. Unfortunately, when people get angry, it is difficult to think clearly at that moment, so there is a chance of making mistakes. And that can increase the violence.

When other people see such fights, they can at least call the police instead of doing nothing.
