EM Testspiel Deutschland - Niederlande

Heute Abend bestreitet die deutsche Nationalmannschaft als Vorbereitung auf die EM2024 ihr nächstes Testspiel gegen die Niederlande.

Nachdem in den vergangenen Monaten einige herbe Niederlagen hingenommen werden musste, konnte die DFB-Elf am Samstag gegen Frankreich, einen der Topfavoriten für die EM, in einem überzeugenden Spiel einen 2:0 Sieg einfahren.

Mit den Niederlanden trifft die Elf erneut auf einen der Favoriten auf dem EM-Titel. Zudem sind Spiele gegen das Oranje-Team immer etwas Besonderes.

Die Bilanz sieht eigentlich ganz gut auf für Deutschland, aber es waren immer spannende und knappe Spiele gegen die Niederlande.

Wenn die Mannschaft um Kroos an die Leistung vom Samstag anknüpfen kann, dann sollte es auch heute Abend ein spannendes Spiel zu sehen geben und evtl. der 2. Sieg in Folge eingefahren werden.

Ein Spiel das mir ganz besonders in der Erinnerung bleibt ist das Endspiel Deutschland - Holland bei der WM 1974 in Deutschland mit den Topstars Johan Cruyff und Franz Beckenbauer. Und natürlich dem Bomber der Nation, Gerd Müller, der dann auch das Siegtor geschossen hat.

Ich kann mich noch genau daran erinnern, wie ich nach dem Spiel raus ging, noch ganz mitgenommen von dem spannenden Finale. Alles war ruhig, die Leute saßen wohl alle noch am Fernseher. Heute würden bestimmt viele hupend und jubelnd durch die Straßen fahren.

Es folgen dann noch 2 Testspiele gegen die Ukraine und Griechenland vor der EM.

Am 14.06. bestreitet die Nationalmannschaft ihr erstes Spiel gegen Schottland bei dieser EM, dieses Mal in der Allianz-Arena in München. Die weiteren Gegner in der Vorrunde sind die Schweiz und Ungarn.

Am 14.07. findet dann das Finale im Olympiastadion in Berlin statt. Bis dahin ist es aber noch ein weiter Weg und ob Deutschland das schafft steht in den Sternen.

Die DFB-Elf gehört nicht unbedingt zu den Topfavoriten nach den teilweise enttäuschenden Leistungen der jüngeren Vergangenheit. Aber wer weiß was sich da noch tut.

Und wie der überragende Franz Beckenbauer immer gesagt hat: Schau mer mal. 😀

European Championship test match Germany - Netherlands

Tonight, the German national team will play their next test match against the Netherlands as preparation for Euro 2024.

After suffering some heavy defeats in recent months, the DFB team secured a convincing 2-0 victory against France, one of the top favorites for the Euros, on Saturday.

Facing the Netherlands again, another favorite for the Euro title, is always something special for the team. The record against the Dutch looks pretty good for Germany, but the matches have always been exciting and close.

If the team led by Kroos can replicate the performance from Saturday, we should expect another exciting game tonight and possibly secure a second consecutive victory.

A game that still stands out in my memory is the 1974 World Cup final between Germany and the Netherlands at the Munich Olympic Stadium, featuring top stars Johan Cruyff and Franz Beckenbauer, as well as the nation's striker Gerd Müller, who scored the winning goal.

I can still remember leaving the house after the game, still caught up in the excitement of the final. Everything was quiet, with people probably still glued to their televisions. Nowadays, there would surely be many people driving through the streets honking and cheering.

Upcoming test matches against Ukraine and Greece will follow before the Euros. The national team will play their first game against Scotland on June 14th, this time at the Allianz Arena in Munich. The other opponents in the group stage are Switzerland and Hungary.

The final will take place on July 14th at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. But there is still a long way to go, and whether Germany can make it is uncertain.

The DFB team is not necessarily among the top favorites after some disappointing performances in recent years. But who knows what might happen.

And as the great Franz Beckenbauer always used to say: Let's wait and see. 😀
