A great striker is a player who can always maximize the opportunities that exist to become goals for his team. However, not all strikers can show their best performance due to several factors.

Several factors such as a lack of ball supply to the front lines, players who find it difficult to show their best performance because they have just recovered from injury or the coach's tactics are not suitable for the typical player which could prevent the striker from developing in the team. All of the factors can occur. So, who are they? below are players in the English Premier League who couldn’t show their best performance.

Alexander Lacazette

This player who once played for Olympique Lyon played with Aubameyang in the front lines. Lacazette lost his best touch this season because Mikel Arteta put him on the bench more often. This French player has only scored one goal in eight appearances for Arsenal. This bad record kept him from being included in the manager's plans. As part of management's plan, he will be put on the selling list to look for better players.

Adama Traore

This player is known to have a stocky body. He is hard to beat when running and doing aerial duels on the field. But this season, he's kind of lost and can't find anything to do with Wolverhampton. In fact, this former player from Barcelona academy had become a target for big clubs because of his skill and attractive body. But until now, Traore still has not contributed anything to his team from 13 appearances with the Wolves. However Bruno Lage still believes in him, so he tries to give more direction to Traore.

Anthony Martial

If we talk about Manchester United, there is one name of the player where last season (2019/2020) appeared quite impressive. The player that we are talking about is Anthony Martial. The player who was nicknamed “The Next Thierry Henry” now often sits on the bench. He was considered inferior to more popular and senior names such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani. So, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (before Ralf Rangnick came) made the decision to play the two of them more than Martial. If things don't change, he will be put on the transfer market to be sold to another club.

Timo Werner

Timo Werner is a striker who came from RB Leipzig and was bought by Chelsea in June 2020. The price is quite expensive, but he isn’t showing his best ability in Premier League. In fact, this Germany national team player was a sharp bomber when he was with RB Leipzig. Adaptation factors and tactics from the coach were considered to be difficult for him, so Timo often threw away the final finishing that could actually make Chelsea win the game. In the end, Chelsea management wasn’t satisfied with Timo's performance. Then, the team that has headquarters at Stamford Bridge is bought Romelu Lukaku. This makes Timo's chances decrease. However, it was the result of his own fault.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane is the icon of Tottenham Hotspur. He is a role model striker owned by The Lilywhites. One of the prestigious achievements he achieved was when he got the Golden Boot Awards. Because last season he scored 23 goals for Tottenham. But for this season, it's like there's a big boulder blocking him from scoring goals. He is still having trouble scoring goals because from 11 games he can only score 1 goal. It was a pretty bad performance for a player with a big name like Harry Kane. Tottenham Hotspur fans hope that Antonio Conte can restore Spurs and Harry Kane's form as strikers.
