GT bowlers give them another win and stayed on top of the point table

Hello, good afternoon and welcome to my page once again. There were two matches yesterday where the first one was interesting and went in the last over where GT won it by just 8 runs. Where 2nd match was sided where SRH won by 9 wickets so let's discuss the afternoon match of GT vs KKR in detail.

In the afternoon match, toss is not crucial as conditions are similar for both teams. GT won the toss and chose to bat first which was a good decision and also the first team who choose to bat first after winning the toss in this year's IPL. Once again Gill out early and pressure came on middle-order as this time Pandya came at no 3 which was early but no other option.

Pandya and Shah play well and build a good partnership for 2nd wickets. It looks like GT will reach 190-200 with wickets in hand but after 10 overs they played so slow. Miller came at no 4 and played a nice inning too but was not able to take long. GT was only able to make 156 runs only. Russell took 4 wickets in the last over and once again Pandya was the top scorer for GT making 67.

In return, KKR started not well also as they changed in batting order again to send Billings in opening with Narine.Shami out both of the early and put them under pressure during the powerplay. KKR soon lost 3rd wicket too under powerplay and perhaps they were 3/16. They are only able to score 34 runs in 6 overs.

Very first ball after the powerplay, Iyer was also out and they were in deep trouble as 4/34. All hopes were on Russell as he can do anything. Rinku Singh played some shot but he also out early. Russell came and took KKR on the driving sheet after calling no-ball where he was out. In the last over they required 17 runs and Russell hit six on the very first ball but later he was out and thus all hopes went too.

GT won this Low scoring match by just 8 runs and Rashid Khan got the man of the match award for his tight bowling. I think Russell deserves it even though he is from the losing side but his role with bat and ball was top class. That's it from me for today and stay tuned for my next post.
