I will always be proud of you my daughter- Intramurals 2023

Being a mom is always the best feeling for a woman.

My daughter is in Grade 11 Senior High School now. Time flies so fast 1 more years to go she will be in college.

Anyways, their intramurals have been successfully celebrated 1st week of the month of October.

Started with the holy mass and a parade with all the students and teachers.Wearing their uniforms from their perspective teams.
Their theme for this year is "Uniting the Guilds Embracing the Magic of Sports"
There are 6 teams with the corresponding team names
Yellow Zentopia
Orange Tartaros
Lamia Scale
Mermaid Heels
Blue Pegasus
Silver Edolas

My daughter belongs to the Orange Tartaros team. She only joined modern, Single A table tennis and table tennis double.
A short story about the sport she chose. Way back when she was in her elementary years, she really wanted to join sports in their school. First, she tried joining the track and field which is running but she didn't win. So I told her to try to join something else or another sport that you like. At first, she wanted to join badminton but I told her that she was not really good at that sport since we have badminton rockets and shuttlecock at home and I know she is not into that kind of sport. Then she decided to try table tennis because that's the sport of her best friend. Luckily she learned that sport so easily and that made her win the game she joined.

Anyway, enough with that story. Before their intramurals started I already asked her what sport she wanted to join and she told me she would join the table tennis. I told her I couldn't afford to buy her a new racket for it. She then told me that she would just borrow the rocket from her best friend(same best friend from her elementary years). I know she understands that I can't spend more money for the racket since I have spent more already for her Intrams uniform and other expenses for the said event.

Luckily last week the weather was fine and every sport was been successfully played by each participant.
The good thing about table tennis is it's an indoor sport and you don't have to be worried about the heat of the sun or the rain.

Photo Source Can you spot where my daughter is? Anyway, I am always been proud of her since she joined the dance society at their school. From being a shy type or an introverted person joining the stage makes me feel proud. She got that talent from me of course since I was into dancing too when I was in high school.

Aside from the dancing she also tried her luck into table tennis. Personally, I don't like playing that kind of game maybe because I am not used to light balls since my sport before was sof ball. Here are some snaps from the table tennis she joined.

After the successful event, my daughter got three medals
She got a Bronze medal for the Modern dance as their team was placed 3rd.
She also got the Bronze medal for Table Tennis Single A and she got the Gold medal for being the champion with her partner in the Table Tennis Double.

Captured using her iPod Touch. Since she didn't have any pictures of her in their school wearing her medals I told her to take pictures at home. At least she will have a simple remembrance of her achievements aside from her medals.

I am so proud of her achievements in school. As much as I wanted to personally see her playing or dancing I am busy at work and I don't have time to sneak out as I am a literal working mom as my son is with me at work.
Well, at least my daughter knows that I am always here to support her.

Intramurals is the perfect way to try many different sports and find out what you're best at. I can tell you're very proud of your daughter and rightfully so! Enjoy these last two years before she goes to college. It goes by too fast! 💕 💟 💕

that's true just like way back when I was in high school I didn't know I was good at playing softball as I was not into that kind of sport before.

Oh yeah, time flies so fast. I feel so old LOL I am just 34
