The English Premier League Week 17 Review
22 goals were scored across all the matches for week 17 as 3 matches were postponed due to Covid19. The 7 matches were ahead and this was how things were wrapped up.
On Tuesday, Norwich City welcome Aston Villa to Carrow Line Stadium but the Villas went away with the whole 3 points leaving Norwich City rock bottom of the league. Manchester City hosted Leeds United at the Etihad Stadium and for a spilled seconds, I thought they were playing basketball as the Citizens ran a route on Leeds United. As Brentford versus Manchester United was postponed.
Wednesday was on the bottom line. Brighton couldn't handle Wolverhampton as 1 goal was enough to seal the win for the away team. Crystal Palace has taken the early lead against Southampton had to fight from behind play a 2-2 draw against the Saint. Arsenal made the job looks so easy as they defeated the Hammers by 2 goals to nil. Burnley versus Watford encounter was called off.
Thursday was for smackdown as Chelsea welcome Everton to the bridge but it ended in a 1-1 draw. Liverpool on the other hand came from a goal down to win it against Newcastle United. Leicester City and Hotspur match was suspended as there Covid19 report.
Matchday 17 was interesting, fascinating, and magnificent as the top 3 still maintain their stands. The relegation-threatened side couldn't win as the fixtures that await them is very tough.
Matchday 18 is looming, you will hear from me as I will bring you, people, the news, gist, information as to how the matches will be played out. I am the sports oracle, your favorite sports analyst.
Nice post..I just wish Manchester united played their matches maybe we will at the fourth position on the league table
Probably but life is the most important thing here. We will see them in the next fixtures as I will be dropping them here hot.
With Covid delaying many games, it will be tough knowing how that top 4 race would shape up.
This case is not helping issues at all but along the line, we will find out. The season is almost divided into 2 and by then, the season will tell how the top 4 will go.
