Ecency: new era of Boosting

If like me you use Econcy to explore the world of Hive and the most interesting articles, you certainly won't have missed any great news.

In fact, for a few days now there has been the possibility of accessing a new type of Boost, which in my opinion is very interesting compared to the old curation system.

The old system

With the old system, if the boosted article was deemed good by the @ecency curators, you could get a rating ranging from about $1 up to $3,333 in exchange for Ecency Points according to the table below

This system was very interesting, especially at the beginning because even the highest boosts were often successful (at least as regards those I gave in the past) and above all because in a few days a new user was able to purchase a boost 500 Ecency Points for one of your articles and immediately receive a nice reward.

After a period of time, however, the requests were so many that most of the boost requests were refunded, until reaching the "tacit agreement" between the parties for which a 150 point boost was more easily obtainable than a 150 point boost. 500 points, but it still wasn't safe.

Let's say that in my opinion it was a good method to try to get a good extra vote for one's article and I used it a lot, especially for my old NBA contest in which I redistributed almost all the earnings from the posts.

This old system is still available on Econcy from PC.

The new system

As I said before, for a few days now on the mobile interface it has been possible to take advantage of a new boost system that you can find at the top right.

As you can see from the image it is the symbol of the flame.

This new system, unlike the old one, does not require authorization from the Econcy curators, but is a simple HP rental from our account.

In short, with this type of boost you receive a delegation of around 200 HP from @ecency for the duration that suits you best.

By tapping on the flame symbol, you will be catapulted into the boosting menu, where you can choose the duration that interests you most.

In the table below you will find the various boosting options.

In this way, Ecency has eliminated the annoying problem of having your request rejected, perhaps after having worked hours and hours on an article.

This new boosting method is available exclusively on mobile.

I believe that this new boosting method, although less profitable than the old one, is much more in line with the spirit of the Hive community because it does not only give the user who directly purchases the boost the opportunity to earn, but everyone also benefits from it those users who will receive a vote from the user who purchased the boost.

I also find it very useful for growing new projects or accounts.

Se come me siete utilizzatori di Ecency per esplorare il mondo di Hive e gli articoli più interessanti, non vi sarà certo sfuggita una grande novità.

Da qualche giorno infatti c'è la possibilità di accedere ad un nuovo tipo di Boost, secondo me molto interessante rispetto al vecchio sistema di curation.

Il vecchio sistema

Con il vecchio sistema, se l'articolo boostato veniva reputato buono da parte dei curatori di @ecency, si poteva ottenere un voto che andava da circa 1$ fino a 3,333$ in cambio di Ecency Point secondo la tabella che segue

Questo sistema era molto interessante, soprattutto all'inizio perchè anche i boost più alti andavano spesso a buon fine (almeno per quanto riguarda quelli che ho dato io in passato) e soprattutto perchè in pochi giorni un utente novello era in grado di acquistare un boost da 500 Ecency Point per un proprio articolo e avere fin da subito una bella ricompensa.

Dopo un periodo di tempo però, le richieste furono talmente tante che la maggior parte delle richieste di boost venivano rimborsate, fino ad arrivare al "tacito accordo" tra le parti per il quale un boost da 150 punti era più facilmente ottenibile di un boost da 500 punti, ma non era comunque sicuro.

Diciamo che a mio parere era un buon metodo per provare ad ottenere un buon voto in più per un proprio articolo e l'ho sfruttato molto, soprattutto per il mio vecchio contest sulla NBA nel quale ridistrubuivo quasi tutti i guadagni dei post.

Questo vecchio sistema è ancora disponibile su Ecency da PC.

Il nuovo sistema

Come dicevo prima, da qualche giorno sull'interfaccia mobile è possibile usufruire di un nuovo sistema di boost che trovate in alto a destra.

Come vedete dall'immagine è il simbolo della fiammella.

Questo nuovo sistema, a differenza del vecchio, non necessita di autorizzazioni da parte dei curatori di Ecency, ma è un semplice noleggio di HP da parte del nostro account.

In poche parole con questo tipo di boost si riceve una delega di circa 200 HP da @ecency per la durata che più ci aggrada.

Tappando sul simbolo della fiammella, sarete catapultati nel menu di boosting, dove potrete scegliere la durata che più vi interessa.

Nella tabella sottostante trovate le varie opzioni di boosting.

In questo modo Ecency ha eliminato il fastidioso problema di vedersi respinta una propria richiesta, magari dopo aver lavorato ore e ore ad un articolo.

Questo nuovo metodo di boosting è disponibile esclusivamente su mobile.

Credo che questo nuovo metodo di boosting, anche se meno remunerativo rispetto al vecchio, sia molto più in linea con lo spirito della comunità di Hive perchè non dà la possibilità di guadagnare soltanto l'utente che acquista direttamente il boost, ma ne usufruiscono anche tutti quegli utenti che riceveranno un voto dall'utente che ha acquistato il boost.

Inoltre lo trovo molto utile per far crescere dei progetti o degli account nuovi.
