The day began with a run in the dark and steady rain. The hours in between were filled with final preparations, wrapping up loose ends, and a bit of contemplation about the year nearing its end. As evening arrived, I laced up my shoes again, heading out for another run to bookend the day with a sense of accomplishment. With Christmas Eve just a day away, the streets felt different—quieter, yet buzzing with an underlying energy as people hurriedly finalized their own holiday tasks
