The World's Most Dangerous Sports

While classifying the world's most dangerous sports is never an easy task, many people are drawn to them due to their high risk. These activities have often claimed the lives of people, making it difficult to determine fatality rates. Many sports are also hard to categorize because they are organized by people who don't want bad publicity for their events. Therefore, we have listed some of the most dangerous sports below. This list is not exhaustive, but should give you a better understanding of the risk factors involved in each sport.

Base jumping

While regular skydiving is considered a safer sport for most people, base jumping is still dangerous and has claimed more than 300 lives so far. The two biggest obstacles to successful BASE jumping are low altitude and proximity to the object. Skydivers deploy their parachute from 2,000 feet above ground while BASE jumpers often take off from lower buildings or towers. Both activities require the use of a parachute and are extremely difficult and risky to do.

Helicopter skiing

Helicopter skiing is a sport that combines a soaring aircraft and the thrill of a ski slope. Helicopter skiing in British Columbia, Canada, is one of the world's most dangerous sports. It requires brave and strong performers. The thrill is worth the risk, though. Helicopter skiing can be dangerous, but it is the only way to experience it.

If you are looking for an extreme sport that can make you feel like you are on top of the world, you might want to try cave diving. However, cave diving can be extremely challenging and disorienting at times. It can be difficult to find your way around and the tides can reduce visibility. If you are not a pro in diving, then you should consider hiring a dive instructor. It may be better to learn how to dive independently first before trying cave diving.

Bullfighting

While many people think that it is harmless, bullfighting is among the world's most dangerous sports. It is estimated that over nine percent of bullfighters end up requiring emergency medical attention, and many injuries occur in the horns and lower extremities. In Spain, bullfights almost always end in death for bulls, although some bulls do behave well and are spared.

Kite flying

Aside from being one of the world's most dangerous sports, kite flying also involves a large amount of risk. The wind itself is a powerful source of power, and kitesurfing can be hazardous, especially during low-water tides. If you're new to kitesurfing, you should consider taking lessons from a certified school and making sure you follow safety precautions.

Paragliding

source

Although this activity may be considered a dangerous sport, it is actually one of the safest. Most accidents that occur are due to glider collapse. The most common type of collapse is an asymmetric collapse. This kind of collapse is more likely to occur on take-off. The reason for the high number of accidents involving glider collapse is still unknown. In fact, no other extreme sport is as dangerous as paragliding.

No worries. Your post would have made far more tonight as I couldn't submit it for extra curation and actually cost you quite a bit in lost rewards. This is why it is important to comment as otherwise I cannot include you in the extra curation.

Damn! These are very risky and scary sports.

People who participate in these games must be the fearless ones as well as being highly skillful in them too.

Not that I'm fearful but I don't see myself participating in any of these games.

Solid read👍
