Season 75 Strategy

Legion FC started the season 75 campaign in League 2. My current strategy is pretty simple. I don't believe I have the infrastructure to support a League 1 team, so my strategy is to stay within League 2 and grow my fanbase. Ideally, I would like to be middle to top of the table each season for increased rewards, but I don't expect to be competing for a promotion spot. The key for this period of my growth is to keep the on the pitch results as good as possible while keeping payroll at a minimum until the number of fans catches up to the ambitions of the club. I'm also putting a little more emphasis on the youth academy to keep wages down and increase the profits of the club.

Season 75 Results

We finished 8th in the table for season 75. That is consistent with our 8th place finish last season. I thought we would improve since our roster didn't change much from last season. Our manager was on vacation for 8 of the matches and didn't get a lineup set, so that may have been part of the issue. I am not thrilled with an 8th place finish, although we can still accomplish most of our goals finishing in that range.

We grew by about 9,000 fans to ta total of over 111k. That is a solid fan growth. Over time, we will look back and realize how far we've come from the beginning of this journey.

Season 75 Financial Results

We earned almost 700k RBN. That is a significant improvement over last season and it seems we are at a point where we can consistently earn some RBN until we decide to go for promotion. Below were our income/expenses.

Our revenue improved by almost 200k RBN. Our expenses decreased by about 150k RBN. The youth academy is really starting to pay off by reducing our player salaries. I don't know how much lower we can get our salaries. The healthy increase in year over year revenue should set us up for long term success even if we can't reduce our expenses by much.

The owner earned a bonus of .134 Hive, the same as last season. That is a nice bonus to keep make the management of the team worthwhile. I am overall happy with the financial performance of the team, and I'm bullish on our future earnings.

Facilities Update

As I said in the strategy section, I am trying to grow my fanbase to grow into my infrastructure. The current utilization of the stadium is 83%. That is an increase of 10% over the past 7.5 days. I decided to go ahead and start the next upgrade in hopes that I will be ready soon. It will take about two seasons to complete the upgrade. You can see there are several other upgrades still ongoing. I'm hoping for some increased revenue in several areas.

The youth academy upgrades are really starting to pay off. We have 13 players on rookie contracts of 400 RBN per match.

Squad

The season 76 squad is a solid team. Three contracts were renewed for the season, but it is still a heavy rookie contract squad. The expiring contracts are 2 defenders, 2 midfielders, and 1 attacker. That is much more manageable than the several expiring midfielder contracts at the end of last season. I don't expect this team will finish in the top 5. They should allow us to earn a nice profit and continue to grow our fanbase.

Season 76 Strategy

My season 76 strategy will be more of the same. The costs of the roster should be pretty low and hopefully we will continue to grow revenue at the same pace. We still have a few seasons before trying to earn a promotion into league 1. I'll try to save up some RBN before we make a run.
