SPORT FIESTA: The Cityzens Stunned By Harry Kane On Home Soil.
Wow!, it was an evening to remember as Antonio Conte and his Tottenham side left the home of the league leaders with all three points thanks to a sublime Harry Kane's header.
The first half of the game was full of action as the visitors took an early lead through a well structured counter attack that was nicely finished by the in rushing Kulusevski just 4 minutes into the game. City took total control of the game after Antonio Conte side took the lead. They kept on knocking until Gundogan gave city the leveller in the 33 minute as a cross from Sterling was not properly handled by the Tottenham goal keeper Hugo Lloris. That was enough to give the league leaders a much more rest after going behind very early into the game.
The second half began with Pep Guardiola's side pushing for the lead early into the game but was met with another stumbling block as Harry Kane was at the end of a beautiful pass from Son in the 59 minutes. Manchester city had a lot of work to do because they will have to draw the game level for the second time. As expected, the home side had more of the possession but still was unable to break Antonio Conte's rigid side. Having most of the shots and the game under control, it had to take a penalty for the Cityzens to draw level again. City had to force through a penalty as Silva's cross was handled in the box by Romero as he tries to make a block while sliding in the 89th minute. The penalty shout was first waved away by the on field referee not until he was called back by the VAR team, after which he pointed to the spot. Mahrez step up for the occasion and covered from the spot as usual to give city a sight at claiming all three point.
The game was almost done and dusted, until Pep Guardiola's failed transfer target Harry Kane rose up to steal the game from the league leaders right at the end of the game as he was able to rise above his maker Kyle Walker to put into the back of the net a sumptuous cross from the first half goal scorer (Kulusevski) in the 95th minute of the game.
It was just like a nightmare for Pep and his side as the felt undone by the class of the Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
Now city will be on their toes as the title race begins to look more interesting with Liverpool pulling in strongly with a game at hand.
Final score at the Etihad Stadium it ended 3-2 in favour of the Tottenham side.
