We played the game of the season
A couple hours ago I watched one of the most amazing football matches I have watched in a long while. And being a fan of one of the teams just makes everything even more tense. Games like that are amazing for the neutral, but for the fans they're a very good way to develop hypertension. Till now I'm yet to regain my voice. I was shouting too much during the game.
If you're a football fan (which is probably the only reason you're reading this) you probably already know I'm referring to the Chelsea vs Man city game. This game is definitely the game of the season so far, a close second being our last game against Spurs where they got two red cards. We're delivering premium entertainment back to back.
Going into today's game everyone already believed City were going to come out clear winners. I also thought they'd win, but honestly I didn't think it'd be easy. Though I must admit if it wasn't close I wouldn't be surprised. I was hopeful because I noticed that Chelsea usually play better against attack minded teams. And no matter what, city won't want to come to the bridge to pack the bus.
I was totally shocked with how we started and how dangerous we actually looked. And then things went gloomy when City got a very soft penalty and Haaland buried it.
But then Chelsea shocked me and had a reaction and in a couple minutes we did a comeback and were leading 2-1. Trust city to be city though, as they equalized at the end of the first half.
The 2nd half came and Haaland put them back in the lead. That didn't last too long again, and we equalized again. Honestly at this point I was shocked at how resilient we were. And afterwards we had so many chances to take the lead, but typical of Chelsea not to take their chances. That Gusto chance still haunts me.
Towards the end of normal time, city somehow finds another goal. At this point I was close to tears 😂. But then a miracle happens and somehow we get a big chance that leads to a penalty. Palmer tucks it in and not much happens till the final whistle. That was a heck of an emotional roller coaster for a fan.
It was an interesting match, and even though I believe on another day we'd have gotten the win, I'm satisfied with the result, because the boys exceeded my expectations. And even with some dodgy officiating we were able to go toe to toe with city. That's something to be happy about.
But now the problem with Chelsea has always been inconsistency and the inability to score against defensive minded teams, so despite being happy with our performance I've known this team long enough to not get too excited. For now I'll just be watching each game and hoping for the best. Pochettino is building something and I'm sure with time we'll be a well oiled machine and dismantle teams. But for now it's best to just take things on a game by game basis. Are we back? Only time will tell.
Game of the session for where, chelsea should have chop the beating of their life if not that man city were somehow stupid during the first two goals with their mistakes. They did they same mistake twice not focusing on the ball and neglecting some guys.
😂 😂 See this man sha. Yes city made mistakes but the only reason they made those mistakes was because we shocked them. Moreover Chelsea also made flimsy mistakes that led to city's goals. Example that soft pen that they gave city. Another one is Caicedo losing ball in the midfield for Haaland's second goals, or the deflection goal that Rodri scored. If Silva didn't put leg Sanchez saves it easily.
Thank you 😁
I must say this is the best performance from the London Cow boy so as football was the game and blue was the colour.
Going back to history the past six encounter with city haven't be good because we either win nor score a goal, our last goal was on the UEFA final.
😂 😂 It's the London cowboy for me. Yes this was their best performance so far. But then they may go back to default settings after international break, who knows. It was sha good to see them go toe to toe with city.
Even city themselves were in a big shock 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hmm the way you sounding like you bet on his game oh in 1xbet oh, i envy those who place a bet on Chelsea packing millions by now. At least Chelsea has upgraded and stop losing
😂 😂 I don't bet again oo. That thing is not for the weak. I'm just a Chelsea fan and love to see my team do well.
🤣🤣 1× bet will sell you.. chelsea is working out am impress with them
Chelsea just need stability and with time they will improve their defensive line and know exactly what is needed. I am still a believer that even Potter should have stayed and worked out the team slowly. You can't sign half the players in the galaxy and expect to work right away.
Facts, though I don't believe in the whole Potter should have stayed. We didn't seem to be improving under him.
