The Best Team of All Time
Even though I like to play football or what Americans call soccer, I don't really like to watch it; regardless of that, I have a favorite team I support. My siblings are mostly boys, so I have a fair idea about soccer and other sports. Growing up, all the members of the family were asked to choose a team they liked.
I together with my elder brother chose Barcelona and my other brothers chose Chealsea and some other teams. I never really liked Chelsea because of that. Ever since then, that has been the team I've supported.
At first, I used to watch some of their plays. I knew almost all the team players; from Victor Valdes to Pique to Xavi Hernades to Xavi Alonso to Messi to Pedro; and the coach. I liked all their players, but I liked Messi more because of how he used to play and also his personality. I didn't like Real Madrid (for no reason, perhaps because I liked Barcelona).
Barcelona was one of the top teams of all time. They won almost all their matches and produced some of the greatest players ever. Their matches used to generate a lot of crowds at game centers and bars. Everyone liked to watch them play because they always delivered and were refreshing to watch.
It got to some time, their fame got into their heads, and they started to go down the drain. They lost most of their games and people began to lose faith in them. Some people even stopped supporting them because they were not fun to watch anymore but I never did.
Now, Barcelona has being able to make its name again even with Messi leaving the team. They continue to remain one of the best teams in the world.

This was a nice read.
It’s always funny how fans will withdraw their support just because the team is not doing well anymore. Some may even become anti-fans in the process.
It is good that you stood by your team when things weren’t going well with them.
wow! I see you have so much admiration for Barcelona football club and Lionel Messi in particular. For me, I lost connection with football when Henry left Arsenal.
I am not surprised that you didn't have much of an affinity for real Madrid, since they have always been on each other's throat you were likely to develop that rivalry.
