December 4 2022 - Day 3 rehab

avatar

So if you read my Day 0 post you will know I am trying to recover my body.

Today I felt more confident walking. My balance has improved a lot so I extended my walk down the village green to the duck pond. The walking felt much improved from the last few days.

My eyesight is still a problem and I lose my balance if I look from aide t side while walking.

I also managed to write a Hive Post on my laptop for the weekend engagement contest. Its hard typing with partial loss of sensation in my hands. My fingers were clumsy on the keyboard and my eyes struggled to see the laptop screen.

I decided to create a table for each day's progress because it will help me to see my progression as I recover.

DayDistance (km)TimeNotes
10.800:12:33Hard work
21.1200:15:07Walking easier but eyesight restrictive
31.700:20:20Feel confident looking down but lose balance looking up

I went for a walk too, but I forgot about my actifit app! I don’t think I set up up properly yet 😁

I might be obsessed, but I usually check the app is working before I head out the house. It's the most annoying thing ever when I've walked far but Actifit didn't log anything.

I have another app for counting steps too, so I guess that’s why I forget about actifit. Still didn’t enter my key in it, but it did actually count my 6k steps yesterday 😁

I also usd my Samsung app for counting my steps, and logging my exercise. I do love Actifit though for the social aspect and the chance to gain different crypto rewards. I love it.

Yess, I plan to learn more about it too, but I don’t want to start too many things as once, or else I end up overloaded 😅

Surely, you shall recover all. It's only a matter of time. Since you've began to noticing the levels of improvements, it shall be permanent.
Thanks for sharing this lovely post with us today.

The doctor did say that I should see a rapid improvement initially which I think I have seen in the last few days. The final bit of improvement may take some time though, I am still struggling with many things that I used to find easy. One step at a time. 😀

Yeah, such a strange and worrying thing to experience. The last few days have been good though as I can see the improvements but I think it will still take weeks to get back to where I was. Its going to take a while but I am hopeful I will make a full recovery and in a few weeks I will be able to get out running again. Watch this space!
