July 09 2022 - A run before Eid prayer

I got up early and went for a run. I wanted to get out before it started getting hot for the day and it was a bit cloudy still and reasonably cool. I managed over 8.5 km as shown below.

My pace was a bit slow as I had the tail end of a cold still. Not bad enough to stop me running. Actually, I feel the run helped. I took it easy though.

After the run, I went to the Eid prayer in the park. There were a couple of thousand of people there. You can't really tell the size of it from the photo but it was massive.

The dark clouds had cleared and there was now a lot of blue sky. It soon got quite hot out in the sun.

When we got home, we feasted on lamb.

Now I need to go for another run to burn off all the food.

What was the prayer time there?

In Oman, we prayed the Eid prayer pretty early. The sunrise time was 5:35 am and prayer time was 6:20 am.

Hope that your Eid day was a memorable one!

We prayed 10:30, so quite late but I assume that is something to do with local council.
