The Return of Eden!
The atmosphere around the Bernabeu is a bit unhappy but undoubtedly optimistic as one of their star players in Eden Hazard appears to be back from an injury he suffered against Paris Saint Germain late last year.
Hazard was recorded completing a training session with the squad yesterday as he pushes to convince Coach Zinedine Zidane of the need to include him in the match day squad against Atletico Madrid this weekend.
The unhappiness in the Spanish Capital is as a result of Hazard’s recovery coming in quite late even though it doesn’t seem like so on a normal sense.
The Belgian was at the top of his game before his injury. He appeared to have already built this interesting chemistry with striker Karim Benzema and both swept pass teams with ease before his injury.
It was no surprise that Real Madrid’s goals kind of dried up with Hazard’s injury as Benzema could hardly find the net like he always did with the Belgian and the club had to depend on both the midfielders and defenders to do the scoring.
Against Barcelona at the Camp Nou, Real Madrid dominated for large stretches of the match but with little to no end product. Hazard’s brilliance in attack was clearly lacked and it has always been missed since the Belgian got injured.
Tomorrow, Real Madrid will be taking on Atletico Madrid and the Belgian in top form would undoubtedly have increased their chances of winning but it appears he is getting ready for the Uefa Champions League round of 32 encounters with Manchester City rather. Coach Zinedine Zidane is known as a very careful manager when it comes to handling his injured players and he doesn’t risk his players unnecessarily so it is expected that Hazard would most likely not be playing a part in tomorrow’s encounter no matter how many training session he has completed before then.
Nevertheless, the most important thing is that our man Eden is back and we can only hope he is back with a better bang!
