Rashid Khan - From Unpopular Spinner To World Class Rookie !
Cricket is a game which attracts mostly the richer class, often played on the turf of aristocrats and the people who needed a special medium to pass their freetime in a jovial mood. These type of saying by the common people are not invalid and unrealistic, rather they are proven and what the cricketing gears reflect - as being expensive and costly, it is surely a liable cause for most of the countries not paying interests at large.
That is true and evident, if you look at the organizing infrastructure of the two famous sport, the icc & fifa, at one side fifa holds almost all the nations on earth to be active members and are playing qualifying match for world cup all year round- whereas, in cricket just a dozen countries out of two hundreds have the scope to play test cricket ; the trademark of the sport.
For arranging cricket match, the set of costs are so higher, for any nation to provide for their players, participating in academic setting, or in a club, divisional cricket, domestic and in -house side. As a matter, countries with lower economic status, fewer revenue to set for the expenditure, daily living costs are higher - then it becomes harder for any player to pursue dream to become a famous cricketer in the future.

But, can poverty or insolvency restrict the growth of any dreamer's? Well, the answer may be tough to make, but today I have someone in my mind whose story may inspire other players having the same or sort of impediments in their roads of life. In Afghanistan, we all know that being a war hit zone, having terrorist attacks keeping the nights sleep away for inhabitants, a bad administration ruining out the development, there still have scanty chance to live freely and lead a peaceful life.
But, Rashid Khan was a small name in the start of his career, he wasnt even heard a name in the national cricket and very few cricket lover could pick up his name. He was just a regular bowler and a qualiy spinner, but there were just little sharpness in his bowling. But, when he started to play franchise cricket, specially-t20, where 4 overs spell for any wrist spinner is lethal and mark a tremendous impression - he capitalized on that.
For any cricketer, chances are little to magnify the career and adorn it with accomplishment. For him,it was just a handful of chances his life provided to him, one which came after the period when he was auctioned for a team and got chance to introduce himself and his talent, what he kept doing nicely was the consistency of sharpness, that he gave out his best and got the price!
Hard-work pays in the end,right?
Yes, back at that time he took most wickets in one season and the next year his price soared high and the valuable asset as a spinner for any team. He began to furnish his tactics and the efficiency to deliver balls swiftly, maintaining a tight pace became high enough to discommode any batter, he did to choke and for longer period.
Thats how he manipulated his reign on Ipl and dominated for a few years and leg spin always becomes unplayable when doosra and top -spin is combined and his execution of the maximum deliveries as 65% of the wrong-one sets him apart of other spinners, because thats rare and in fact his accomplishments were also rare and so as even on today.
Questions are made who has played most decorated part in the recent shortest format of the game and there were lot of others name come on the list. Spinners came and go over the decades of time, but a very few of them could lay their mark on the history. I think, next to the time of Muttiah Muralidharan, Rashid would be another gem which sparked the entire spinner quota to a greater margin.

In IPL, he has won the prize of most effective spinner in most of the conditions of the pitches and stadiums all over India, but the social media keeps the sports forum busy always, fans and followers opining what they believe and what their emotions have in say. Most of them go by the name, fame and his success, his bowling infrastructure and technical analysis, he adopts -all are on serious discussion.
But, what gets me over his name, that he travelled so far, from impoverished settings, a lesser known region where cricket has very low importance, but conquered the cricket world with some character. That his struggles and hardwork deserves praise- to me, he won the fate of his life and greater cricket world should acknowledge that, some day.
