"Mela Chiraghan with the Little Champs: Gol Gappas and More" My Actifit Report Card: April 13 2025

Assalam o Alaikum and hello to my #actifit community. How are you, friends? I hope everyone is well and I am also well. I woke up this morning and the first thing I noticed was that the weather was very pleasant and beautiful.Since it was Sunday, I spent most of my time with my children.
After that, I went to the market to buy my household goods, where I bought some household goods and then returned.

As evening fall, I had dinner and told the children to get ready quickly because I had to take them to the Mela Chiraghan tonight, which is being held at Shalamar Garden from April 11 to April 14.
Mela Chiraghan, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a significant cultural and spiritual event in Lahore, Pakistan. It's a three-day celebration honoring the 16th-century Sufi saint Shah Hussain, also known as Madho Lal Hussain. The festival takes place at the shrine of Shah Hussain in Baghbanpura, adjacent to the Shalimar Garden.

Along with this, I asked the family of one of my relatives to come along, who quickly got ready and we set off on foot towards Shalamar Garden.We were walking along GT Road towards Shalamar Garden, chatting and enjoying the environment along the way. As we reached Shalamar Garden, we saw a huge crowd of people, many of whom were returning and many, like us, were still there to watch the festival.

As soon as we reached Shalamar Garden, we saw that a large crowd of people was gathered at the gate of Shalamar Garden, while the gate was closed and the police were on duty for security, sending people back.
We waited for about an hour hoping the gate would open and we could enter, but it was in vain.

Unfortunately, we had to turn back like everyone else because the number of people was too large and the festival was closed at 10pm due to the security situation.

We took the return route and promised the children that I would eat them gol gappas and ice cream, so on our way back we reached a gol gappa and ice cream shop where there was also a playing area for the children.

I ordered two and a half dozen gol gappas and we all ate them together. They were very tasty. The tamarind sauce was very strong and spicy.
The gol gappas were very tasty and I enjoyed eating them a lot.

After eating the gol gappas, I ordered ice cream for the kids, which they ate with great enthusiasm and was very tasty and delicious.

After eating ice cream, the children swung on various swings in the play area and enjoyed a lot.

After this i returned home with my kids they were very happy. Today i walked more than 5k steps.
