A Flock of Fun: Goats & Sheep Market and Fruit Stalls Walking Tour My Actifit Report Card: March 2 2025
Assalam o alaikum and hello to my #actifit community. How are you friends? I hope everyone is well and I am also well. By the grace of Allah, today was the first fast of Ramadan in Pakistan. As you all know that Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims. In which Muslims fast and spend most of their time in worshiping Allah Almighty. I started this morning with Sehri (eat some food to keep fast)of the first fast and then I offered the Fajr prayer and then I recited the Holy Quran.Today my son Bilal also fasted for the first time in his life and he was very happy.
After that I spent some time at home with the children and then I went to the Sunday market where there was a sheep market today because the weather was good so I went on foot to have a walk.
When I reached there, I saw that very beautiful mendas had come to be sold in the mini market. They were of different colors, breeds and looked very beautiful.
The breeds of sheep were different from each other. Some of them were of Bahawalpur breed. Since I have never raised sheep, I don't know their breeds. But their prices were very high. I asked a seller about the price of sheep and he told me the rate of 55 thousand Pakistani rupees per sheep. Which was very high.
There I saw that many sellers were also removing the wool with the help of sheep shears. Many customers who bought there would have backed away after hearing the price. The sellers were also feeding graas to their sheep and goats and the sheep were feeding in a group which looked very beautiful.
I also saw small baby goats there which a boy had brought to sell in the market and he was feeding them grass. I found them very beautiful. When I asked the price of both of them, he said 50,000 which was too much. I think they were not more than 15,000 to 20,000 Pakistani Rupees.
Apart from this, I also saw a ram with long ears, which was tied to a pole, its long ears looked very beautiful.
I walked a lot in this mini goat market which is held every Sunday and saw the sheep of different breeds which looked very cute and many people were buying them. Because there is still a lot of time left for the Eid of Sacrifice, many people buy them in advance and keep animals in their homes to be slaughtered on the Eid. Because their prices go up to the sky on Eid. Some of them were buying them for the purpose of getting milk.
I spent a lot of time there and had a lot of fun after that I walked towards the fruit stalls which were lined up right in front of the Shalamar garden.
I reached there and saw various fruit stalls, since today was the first day of Ramadan, I also bought fruit for( Iftar) break my fast in the evening.
Today the rates of all fruits were doubled. Unfortunately, every year when the month of Ramadan comes, the prices of fruits in Pakistan reach the sky.
I first reached the orange stall and found that its price was 250 to 300 Pakistani rupees per kg. It was 130 to 150 rupees per kg two days ago.
After that he reached the apple stall where apples were being sold for 300 to 400 rupees per kg.
Banana, which was 100 to 120 rupees a dozen two days ago, was now selling at 250 rupees per dozen.
Apart from this, the price of other fruits including guava was 200 rupees and pomegranate was 600 rupees per kg. Due to the high prices of fruits, poor people were less inclined to buy fruits. I bought one kg of orange, guava and apple and bought half a kg of dates and then I came home.
As today was Sunday, I was off from office. I offered Asr prayer and to spend some time I went out for a walk where I walked for some time and saw beautiful flowers in a place and took pictures of them.
After that I(iftar) broke my fast and offered Maghrib prayer as I had eaten rice with pakoras, fruit and drank water too. I walked to digest myself and reached a medical store from where I bought medicine for my son Usman Khan who has been ill for two days and returned home.
Today I walked 11k steps which is good for being healthy and I am so happy that #actifit has changed my lazy routine and I now walk everyday and feel more active than ever. Thanks for reading my post dear #hivers.

Their rates are high in the market of sheep and goats. The reason for this is inflation. Grass and fodder are given for rearing sheep and goats. Their rates have increased. For this reason, their prices have also increased.
