"A Line of Pride, A Frame of Joy: Wagah Border Photo Walk" My Actifit Report Card: February 18 2025

Assalam Waalaikum and hello to my #Actifit Community How are you friends! Hope everyone is well and I am also well. Today I woke up a little late in the morning because I had a day off from office. I had lunch instead of breakfast and spent some time with my little daughter. Today we had a program to visit Wagah border so we quickly got ready and went to Wagah border which is the border area between Pakistan and India. We walked some distance then booked a car to reached at the border.

After that, I and the family boarded on the car and left for the Wagah border. Every evening at the Wagah border, there is a flag lowering ceremony where the flags of both countries are lowered simultaneously. Pakistan Rangers troopers from Pakistan and Border Security Force (BSF) troopers from India participate in the parade.

When I reached Wagah border with my family in the afternoon, the young security guards were making entries. There are strict security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident. After that we had to walk which was quite a long way. I was happy that a good track was found for the walk. Me and my family walked to the place where the flag lowering and parade ceremony was to be held.

When we reached the Wagah border while walking, we saw that the building was being reconstructed by Pakistan and a large number of people were arriving in groups with their families.

A lot of people from Pakistan and India had come to watch and enjoy this event. There was great enthusiasm from both sides. Loud national songs from Pakistan and India were being played on the sound system, which made people feel excited and loud slogans echoed in the air.

We also sat on the steps built there and watched the pleasant atmosphere from both sides and enjoyed the parade. After the flag hoisting ceremony, many people took pictures with the young people participating in the parade. I saw there that some foreign families had also come to see the ceremony.
I chatted with a foreign family and asked from which country they came from, they replied that they are Spanish and they came from Spain to visit Pakistan. I asked them how did you feel coming here and they replied that we enjoyed a lot and said that Pakistan is a very beautiful country.

After that we also took some pictures and walked back to the parking area from Wagah border. I noticed while walking that many elderly people were also walking who sometimes sat on the side because they were tired. By the way, there are free minibuses to facilitate the transportation of citizens from the Wagah border area, but they were not there and everyone was traveling on foot.

Today I walked more than 15000 steps while walking. I also walked and enjoyed the environment a lot. I also had young children with me who got tired during the walk and I would pick them up in my arms. When we reached back home it was completely dark. Today I walked a lot which I am happy because walking is very important and useful for health. I hope today's post will be enjoyed by all friends. Thank you.
