Young Guns make me dream
A couple of days ago, I made a post about how we dispatched our opponent without Auba in the squad. Today, I'm following that post up with another one because we once again kicked ass without Auba.
I'm not saying we're officially back to our best because all we did is wallop a very depleted Leeds team. However, I can say that it's starting to feel like we'll be shitting on @talesfrmthecrypt's face and celebrating St. Totteringham day this season.
Anyway, we started the game brightly and took the lead through a neatly taken goal by Martinelli. The Brazilians run of form has seen him grab goals in back-to-back top-flight matches for the first time in Donkey years.
Martinelli then topped it off with a second goal before Saka and Smithe Rowe compounded things to add gloss to a brilliant performance by the team. Interestingly, none of the three players that scored were up to 22 years but at least two of them have beards on their faces.
Starting strong
Much like the game against the Hammers, we started quite strong and were on the front foot from the whistle. Lacazette constantly plays like a man on a mission but his finishing lets him down every time.
Despite missing a glut of chances, the French striker is still our best option up front and brings something that Auba hasn't brought throughout the season; industry.
Now back in the starting lineup, Lacazette regularly puts in a double shift to stay on top and that industry is often reflected in the entire team. He leads from the front, if you may, and that energy is transmitted throughout the team.
Young guns still gunning
We're still heavily dependent on our youngsters and many people have identified that as a potential weakness in our amour.
It's true that you can't rely on the youngster for a whole season but when youngsters are all you got, there's really no option. The kids have to grow up fast and they've been stepping up.
The past couple of weeks have seen these kids show their ability and some mature displays. It's easy to praise the attackers but the defense has actually been rather impressive.
At the time of writing, the oldest in the backline is Tierney and by defenders standards, he's still quite young. Actually, we have three players that are 24 years old at the back, with Tomiyasu slightly younger at 23.
On top of that, we also have a very young goalkeeper in Ramsdale pulling sensational stops and possessing one of the calmest deliveries for his age. You just know he's going to be England's number one soon.
All the youngsters in the squad have had to do a crash course in growing up. I could even throw in the manager to the least because he's pretty much growing into the role and learning as he goes.
The future is bright
We know there's potential in this team and it's hard not to see a bright future for these boys. There was a lot of doom and gloom about our transfers but it's all coming together now.
I don't think we'll be a "surprise package" this season but in the coming seasons, I think we'll be fighting higher up the table. Everybody will see us coming but won't be able to stop us.
For now, we just have to keep taking it one game at a time, beating teams below us, and at least try to get the fourth spot ahead of United, and Spuds.
There's still so much football left to play and one of which is this evening against Sunderland in the Carabao cup. We win this match and we'll be through to the Semi-final of the tournament, where we're going to meet some stiff opposition. Until we meet again, up the Arsenal

Kudos for Arsenal to giving these guys a chance in the first team. Too many young talented English players getting stuck in the academies at City and Chelsea where they rarely get a chance to play Premier League football
Shitting on my face? That's what you Arsenal fans are into is it? Sounds about right.
Personally I prefer to celebrate victory with a nice cold !BEER give it a go sometime, it's far more satisfying than the sadomasochism and doesn't require as much cleaning up afterwards!
I could do both tbh 😄

TIME FOR US TO RETURN TO UCL!!!
But, I think excuses like experience no longer apply as the "experienced" seem out of motivation. I would rather see this hunger built upon than "experience" even if it might cost us a game or two.
I just added Martinelli to my FPL team, please he needs to keep up this form.
