We're playing elite football again

Greetings Gooners, how's your day going? I'm not going to lie, I am in a really good place right now and it's all because of Arsenal.

We've now won 5 games on the spin and also have the joint best result in the past 11 games with 28 out of 33 points collected. We're a team in form and we're coming up with the goods when it matters.

I'm not going to lie, I doubted Mikel Arteta at the beginning of the season but here we are today, fighting for a top 4 spot.

On top of winning games, the manager actually has the team playing like a proper top-quality team. This was evident in the way we dispatched the Foxes just a moment ago.

The manager has made some tactical switches that have improved our general outlook. One of which is pushing Xhaka forward, thereby giving him less defensive duties, and that's a blessing because Xhaka often loses composure in defensive situations.

This fixture against Leicester featured a well-drilled Arsenal team that knew the importance of the match. It is just as the boys have been saying since "each game from now until the end of the season is treated as a cup final".

Today, we put two past the foxes and got the three points. However, it will be completely unfair of me to forget to acknowledge the immense work that has gone into improving the way we defend.

Between the back four and Ramsdale, we have a solid backline that knows what they should be doing. We also have a defence that gives everything for the team, evident in the performance today.

When we were 1-0 ahead, Harvey Barnes has a guilt-edged chance that Ramsdale tipped over. The save was so good that even Brendan Rogers, the opposition manager couldn't help but praise our goalie.

The defence stayed tight throughout the match, ensuring that the opposition didn't get any clear sights on the goal. At the end of the game, even Glen Hoddle in the BT Sports studio stated that there was no point he remotely felt we were going to concede.

Do you know how good you have to be for a Spurs fan to acknowledge Arsenal awesomeness? The only thing better than that will be beating Spurs, tagging @blanchy and @talesfrmthecrypt in my gloating post, but that's still some way down the line.

Anyway, there will be a lot of praises going to Odegard and the attackers for yet another glittering display. However, this was a team performance and everybody deserves some level of plaudits.

Hell, even Kieran Tierney that had an off day, by his standards, still looked so good today. He did well in defence but it was his deliveries and runs that didn't go according to plan because he was well marshalled by Ricardo Perreira.

At the end of the day, we got three points after playing some exquisite football. We're playing like a top team and deserve to be in a competition for the top teams. The 4th position is ours to lose. and we should actually be thinking about pinching 3rd spot from Chelsea, who surprisingly still had "3" on their jerseys today.

Another game, another win, and that's all that matters. Our next match is against Liverpool and that is going to be a true test of our progress so far. I hope we manage to get a favourable result from the Merseyside team that's chasing City for the title.

Until we meet again, up the Arsenal.

I checked my phone calendar to see if we are in March 2004 or 2022.. I was sure at that time that this is a new version of Arsenal based on its counterpart two decades ago, but with a more collective and comprehensive one.

😂.I have to give it to Arteta . He was hanging on by a thread in September but fair play to the board for believing in him because he is the right man for the job and you were very good today. Credit where credit is due.

Because of your honesty, we'll only beat Spurs with a two goal difference when we meet.

same with me. I am daubting him also as he only bring a few players in, and get rid of our main striker, failed in getting Valhalovic, but now top four seems in the hand with a few games in hands.

Three isn't a number we like except you are talking about a third UCL trophy. Arsenal can get 3rd place from Liverpool if they want it so badly

Greetings,
This indeed is a beautiful looking time for Arsenal. Great observation on the tactical tweak of pushing Xhaka forward. On the flip side,I hope this tweak has a balancing action especially against top sides who can counter. I don't like the sheer amount of saves Ramsdale is having to make. We have to be grateful he's no Leno.

Indeed Arteta is winning back the doubters, now they can even rightly dream of catching Chelsea. Liverpool midweek..an Arsenal fan told me yesterday that right now any team that wants to beat Arsenal must "chop beleful" meaning that team must be extra inspired. That's no over exuberance, this Gunners team can fight now,can be physical if need be. We can say, bring on Liverpool!

Applause to this team,so far👏

Massive game for you guys and the league as a whole on Wednesday. I guess we'll see how good you are after you play the form team in the league...

I commented on Blanchy's latest post that this week is do or die for Spurs. By Sunday evening we'll know whether we have a chance of a top 4 finish or not
