Finally, an Early Morning Walk : August 22 2024
Finally, a morning walk!
Finally, after many months, I had the energy to get out for an early morning walk. I slept with a very bad headache the night before, most probably due to lack of sleep from the last two nights where I was up until past 3.00am. 🧟♀️
Fortunately, despite only 5 hours of sleep last night, I woke up at 6.00 am with a light feeling and motivated me to go out for a short walk.
I decided to go towards the Al Mamoura /Al Nahyan area, a direction facing the sun. It's simply for the reason that if ever the sun would get too hot when I go back, at least my back would be to the sun, not my face. 🤪
Breezy Morning
It was unexpectedly quite breezy, something I did not expect for this time of the year. I honestly thought it would be a harsh, hot, and humid walk. Thankfully, it was very pleasant!
The construction workers were already busy with their work at just 6.30 am. During summer, when the heat could reach over 50°c (123°F) construction works are halted during mid-day so they compensate this with night and early morning hours.
I've written about my walks here in Al Mamoura before, but I guess this is the first time I walked here in daytime, so here are some photos.
Stop and smell the flowers! Errm, of course, I did not smell them. 🤧
I continued walking towards Shk. Zayed Bin Sultan (Salam) Street. Here, I passed by the Mamoura British School. It's a very nice area- I shared some night photos here before.
At the end of the road, I took a right and walked towards Al Nahyan Park.
Conveniently, there was a lane designated for walkers and bikers. And yes, I thought there weren't many bikers pass by, so I initially took the bike lane. 😅 Then, beep! Beep! ooopsie, there was a scooter behind me. Lol. Instead of overtaking me, he really stayed on his lane, and made me move away. Loool.
I really enjoyed my early morning walk. Hopefully, I will get another restful sleep tonight that I would have the energy to go on another walk tomorrow morning.

I like your tour, those places where you went, can help you to clear your mind, and recharge your energy for the next day's activities, greetings @arrliinn
Thanks @mariiale1979 ! It was indeed a satisfying walk. It helped that there were specified lanes for walkers/joggers. And yes, I really hope I could do more of these instead of night walks.
Thanks for passing by and have a great day!
I hope you get to sleep more and go for another walk! It’s great for our health!
Yes, me too. But right now, work warrants me to stay up late. I try to sleep by midnight, but sometimes it just can't be.
