Another Hot Night Walk: August 13 2024

Hello, Actifitters!

I'm back to share my report for Tuesday. Again, before I run out of time. 🤦‍♀️

I barely had sleep the night before, but Little Miss has been enjoying our night walks that she had to ask me several times if we were not going for a walk. Of course, I had to give in. And I am glad I did.

It is still verrrry hot in this part of the world. Literally, construction happens all throughout the night, just so that the workers are protected from a very harsh working environment during the day, especially in the afternoon.

Anyway, I mentioned in one of my previous reports about some stray cats that find relief from heat by lying on the wet pavement. This time, our attention was caught by a mother and kitty duo. We tried to take picture of the kitty, who said, "Hello" first, but protective momma catto came to frame.

After a few rounds around the block, the kiddos got "tired" already. It was hot, but fortunately, not too humid. But still, it could be too much if performing strenuous exercises. They headed home while I went on to complete my 5k steps.

I grabbed a bottle of water from the nearby baqala (grocery store) before heading towards the Umm Al Emarat Park to check on my car that I park in a big parking lot in the area.

I had to check where the husband transferred the car, since he was the one who parked it the previous night. Sadly, he parked it in a no-parking zone, and got a AED 500 ($136) fine. 🥴🤧

What a waste. I learned my lesson not to let the husband park the car. 🤪

That's about it for today. Hope to be able to drag myself to do more intentional walks with the kids and share them here.
