Hello, Actifitters! Whew. It's been forever since my last intentional walk. The hot weather has been super harsh and I don't think I could tolerate that. But tonight (last night) I decided to check it out.

Randomly, after the kids had dinner, I asked them if they would like to come with me for a walk. They surprisingly agreed, and even said that we should do it every day. WOW.

Have you seen a flying dorito?

This morning they were making paper boats (out of boredom) and they ended up with these finger puppets instead.

They colored them orange and blue, so yes, no price for guessing, the orange one is the dorito.

Little Man brought the dorito along with us on the walk. This dorito could fly and even transform into a squirrel. LOL. While walking, he tinkered with my Actifit app and was wondering how we could get the gift.

I thought, he was referring to the post rewards so I said after 5k steps.

Only when I clicked the gift icon did I realize that there are different tiers that could qualify for the gift and the first one is free!

The Flying Dorito got tired.

Eventually, after just 15 minutes, Little Miss and Little Man got tired and decided to head back home.

The original plan was to walk at least 30 minutes so I moved along. I ended up walking for almost an hour because I had to reach 5k activity count.

When I was close to home, I saw these kittens laying down on the concrete side walk where water was coming out of the sewerage. Erhm, I don't think these was entirely sewerage water but what struck me was that the cats were so weary from the heat and they had to take comfort from the wet part of the sidewalk.

Later on in the night or in the wee hours of the morning, I woke up and saw the weather notification on my phone -- "The rain is about to stop".

What? It rained? In August? I was in disbelief especially that I had just hung my laundry before I slept. 😓

Well, hopefully, that made the kittens feel better.
