Library Day and Some Christmassy Vibes

Library Day

We were supposed to skip Library this week because it was the weekend before Christmas and I felt there were more things to be done. However the kids asked on Friday morning if we should go, and I said maybe we can just do grocery shopping.

The two younger ones agreed, but the eldest apparently didn't like following mom around at the grocery/mall anymore and he requested that we just go to the library.

Instead of just choosing one activity, I decided we do both.

The Children's Library opens at 2:00pm on Fridays and we reached at about 2:30pm. We were able to leave a few minutes past 6:00pm after we finished getting a library card for the Little Man, finally.

Marina Mall

We reached Marina Mall to go to Carrefour but we noticed the program for the malls's Christmas Festival was ongoing, so we checked it out first.

The kids were not as interested as when they were little-r, they asked to leave. lol.

I was distracted the whole time we were at the grocery. First, I did not have a list of the things we needed to buy. Second, my feet were already hurting. I was extremely tired. I wonder how my kids were still so overly active.😜

At least, we got the most important ones that we were lacking at home, but now I have to do another round of grocery shopping for Christmas Eve.

It was almost 8:00 pm when we left the Mall and we didn't have dinner yet. The kids were expecting me to buy them our favorite chicken shawarma. It has become some sort of our tradition to buy this shawarma after we come from the Children's Library.

Festive Corniche Road

I have mentioned several times that there are lots of things happening around the city this season. There is an ongoing city-wide art light exhibit and some of them are in the Corniche.

Corniche Road, has usual is dressed up for the holidays. It has been since before the UAE National Day. Now, they just changed some of the decors to gear up for the New Year 2024.

I hope we have the chance to visit Manar at the Lulu Island soon.

Our favorite shawarma shop was out of the way going home, but since I already promised the kids and they were still willing, we went to buy our favorite. Thankfully, they already had pre-wrapped sandwiches in anticipation to many orders and we did not have to wait for a long time.

We finally reached home, ate our shawarmas and what-nots for dinner. I was ready to collapse and go to dreamland anytime while the kids still had the energy to watch a Christmas-themed film in Netflix. Crazy.
