Real Madrid drove fast after the lockdown to win LaLiga. Karim Benzema stressed, Madrid want to continue its performance to beat Manchester City .

Los Blancos are unbeaten after the Spanish League competition was restarted in June. Benzema cs earned 10 wins from 11 matches, overtaking Barcelona before winning the championship with a five-point advantage.

Karim Benzema is one of the most influential players behind Real Madrid's brilliant performances . A total of 26 goals were scored by the French striker throughout the competition, including 21 goals and eight assists he scored in the league.

After the Spanish League championship trophy is held, Madrid is still likely to win the Champions League. However, Madrid should be able to get rid of Manchester City in the last 16 even though currently behind 1-2 in the first leg. To advance to the quarterfinals, Benzema cs must win by a difference of two goals when changing to visit the Etihad Stadium in the second leg, which will be held on Saturday (08/08/2020).

"I am proud to be able to win this cup because it comes from fans and it is very important. I am very happy and this gives me a greater hunger to do many things on the field," Benzema said.

"[Winning the league title] is both special and difficult, but we have done a great job."

"The team is good. Now is the time to work. We want to continue our performance in the league and win City is very important," said the French striker.
