Para muchísimas personas que me conocen, o al menos me siguen en alguna de mis redes sociales, saben que soy fanática del fútbol, y no solo eso, ¡soy fanática del equipo más grande del mundo, que es el Real Madrid! Desde muy pequeña me ha llamado fuertemente la atención este deporte, pero solo soy espectadora, nunca lo he jugado y, a pesar de todo lo anteriormente contado, nunca había tenido la oportunidad de verlo en vivo hasta el año pasado, que durante un evento increíble al que asistí, nos brindaron a todos la oportunidad, y no pude desperdiciarla.

For many people who know me, or at least follow me on some of my social media, they know that I am a football fanatic, and not only that, I am a fan of the biggest team in the world, which is Real Madrid! Since I was very little, this sport has strongly caught my attention, but I am only a spectator, I have never played it, and despite everything previously said, I had never had the opportunity to see it live until last year, when during an incredible event that I attended, we were all offered the opportunity, and I could not miss it.

El año pasado tuve la oportunidad no solo de conocer un nuevo país, sino un nuevo continente, gracias al evento Plan B Lugano, que se encuentra en Suiza, en el área italiana, que sí, ¡tiene la mejor comida que he probado en mi vida! Dentro de lo que traía la entrada, que es a lo que vinimos a echar el cuento el día de hoy, estaba la opción de asistir al partido Lugano FC vs. Young Boys que es, según me enteré el día del partido, prácticamente un Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, o un Leones del Caracas vs. Magallanes si lo trasladamos al béisbol y a Venezuela.

Cuando me enteré de esta posibilidad un par de meses antes del evento, ¡me emocioné demasiado! Como buena fan del fútbol, era algo que no podía perderme por nada del mundo e iba a ser mi primer partido en vivo, presencial, allí en la grada.

Anteriormente había ido a estadios, tuve la oportunidad de asistir a La Bombonera en Argentina en mi primer viaje y en el segundo fui al Mâs Monumental, que es el estadio de River y donde tocó Taylor Swift cuando fue con su The Eras Tour a ese hermoso país; pero no había ido a un juego presencial. ¡Sorprendente, ¿no?! En su momento quise contárselos, pero pasaron una serie de eventos que me hicieron no contárselos hasta el día de hoy y, siendo honesta, creo que ha sido una buena decisión porque el recuerdo de esta hermosa experiencia lo tengo muy grabado en mi mente y espero que envejezca como el vino.

Last year I had the opportunity not only to get to know a new country but also a new continent thanks to the Plan B Lugano event, which is located in Switzerland, in the Italian area that yes, has some of the best food I've ever tasted in my life! Within what the ticket included, which is what we came to talk about today, was the option of attending the Lugano FC vs. Young Boys match, which is, as I found out on the day of the match, practically a Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, or a Leones del Caracas vs. Magallanes if we transfer it to baseball and Venezuela.

When I found out about this possibility a couple of months before the event, I was so excited! As a good football fan, it was something I couldn't miss for the world and it was going to be my first live, in-person match, there in the stands.

Previously I had gone to stadiums, I had the opportunity to attend La Bombonera in Argentina on my first trip and on the second I went to the Mâs Monumental which is River's stadium and where Taylor Swift played when she went with her The Eras Tour to that beautiful country; but I hadn't gone to an in-person game. Surprising, isn't it? At the time I wanted to tell you about it but a series of events happened that made me not tell you until today and, honestly, I think it has been a good decision because the memory of this beautiful experience is very engraved in my mind and I hope it ages like wine.

El día del partido estuvo lluvioso, como casi todos los días que estuvimos en Lugano, y también hacía bastante frío, lo cual nos llevó a andar muy abrigados desde que salimos del hotel. Iba a asistir con muchos conocidos, pero para hacer tiempo decidimos ir primero al muelle y pasear en bote. Caminamos bastante; casualmente estaban los del equipo Young Boys caminando por esa hermosa vereda, supongo que como parte de su entrenamiento. Luego de conocer bastante la ciudad y pasear en bote, estábamos ya muertos de hambre y fuimos a un restaurante argentino que se llamaba "Argentino" (o algo similar) que vendía mayormente comida italiana. ¡Ese arroz con mango, como decimos en mi país, me resultó muy divertido y, siendo honesta, estaba muy rica la comida, el postre y la compañía!

Luego de eso, fuimos al hotel a cambiarnos porque el clima nos dejó la ropa muy mojada, no tanto como para cambiarse de una vez, pero el partido era por la tarde, el frío empezaba a hacer de las suyas y lo mejor era evitar un resfriado. De allí caminamos a tomar el bus que, cabe destacar, era gratuito y nos dejó al frente del estadio (bueno, un poco antes porque elegí mal la parada) y ¡ya todo estaba encendido por todos lados! La gente andaba on fire y si así es un Lugano FC vs. Young Boys, ¡no me quiero imaginar un Real Madrid vs. Barcelona!

Ya había muchísima gente en las gradas; nosotros nos ordenamos según nos tocó y algo que amé demasiado es que nos tocó en la grada de al lado de la Barra Brava del Lugano FC. Amé demasiado que me tocara allí y andaba demasiado emocionada. Al entrar nos dieron dos tickets para bebida y una comida, pero los usaría en el medio tiempo.

The day of the match was rainy, like almost every day we were in Lugano, and it was also quite cold, which led us to be very bundled up since we left the hotel. I was going to attend with many acquaintances, but to kill time we decided to go first to the pier and take a boat ride. We walked quite a bit; coincidentally, the Young Boys team was walking along that beautiful path, I suppose as part of their training. After getting to know the city quite a bit and taking a boat ride, we were already starving and went to an Argentinian restaurant called "Argentino" (or something similar) that mostly sold Italian food. That rice with mango, as we say in my country, was very funny to me and, honestly, the food, the dessert and the company were very tasty!

After that, we went to the hotel to change because the weather left our clothes very wet, not enough to change at once, but the match was in the afternoon, the cold was starting to take its toll and it was best to avoid a cold. From there we walked to take the bus that, it is worth noting, was free and left us in front of the stadium (well, a little earlier because I chose the wrong stop) and everything was already lit up everywhere! The people were on fire and if this is what a Lugano FC vs. Young Boys is like, I don't want to imagine a Real Madrid vs. Barcelona!

There were already a lot of people in the stands; we settled in according to what we were assigned and something I loved too much is that we were assigned to the stand next to the Lugano FC Barra Brava. I loved too much that I was assigned there and I was too excited. Upon entering they gave us two tickets for drinks and a meal, but I would use them at halftime.

El partido terminó a favor del Lugano FC, que marcó tres goles buenísimos. Me disfruté toda la experiencia de principio a fin, y menos mal que fue así, porque nadie me dijo lo que pasaría después de todo esto.

¿Recuerdan que les dije que este juego era como El Clásico de España o un River vs. Boca? Bueno, ¡quedé impresionada de que al salir del estadio TODO estaba lleno de policías, y todo estaba cerrado por ellos 1 kilómetro a la redonda! Así que nos tocó caminar más o menos un kilómetro o kilómetro y medio. Me sentí como el meme de: "488 kilómetros de ida, 488 kilómetros de vuelta"... Los Uber en Europa son carísimos, así que toca caminar y tomar bus para evitar que el bolsillo quede peor que cuando Bitcoin baja un 40% de la nada.

Luego de mucho caminar, fuimos a cenar y luego nos fuimos al hotel a descansar, porque al otro día aún quedaban cosas por hacer.

The match ended in favor of Lugano FC, which scored three great goals. I enjoyed the whole experience from beginning to end, and it's a good thing I did, because nobody told me what would happen after all this.

Do you remember I told you that this game was like El Clásico in Spain or a River vs. Boca? Well, I was impressed that when leaving the stadium EVERYTHING was full of police, and everything was closed by them 1 kilometer around! So we had to walk more or less a kilometer or a kilometer and a half. I felt like the meme of: "488 kilometers there, 488 kilometers back"... Ubers in Europe are very expensive, so you have to walk and take the bus to prevent your wallet from being worse off than when Bitcoin drops 40% out of nowhere.

After walking a lot, we went to dinner and then we went to the hotel to rest, because the next day there were still things to do.

Poder gritar los goles, comer comida de estadio, ver gente molesta porque perdió su equipo, estar pendiente del balón en vivo, reclamar las faltas como si se las hicieran a un familiar mío, cantar a todo pulmón lo que decían las barras del Lugano FC... ¡De esto saqué uno de mis mejores momentos: cuando cantamos una canción en español! Es muy común en Argentina y la conocí en el Mundial que ellos ganaron. Fue muy épico, la verdad. Todo fue súper épico.

Pensé que tenía más fotos, pero tomé más videos ese día, y verlos para hacer este post me trajo el recuerdo en 4K y hasta eché una lagrimita, así que decidí compartir esto con ustedes.

Being able to shout the goals, eating stadium food, seeing people upset because their team lost, being aware of the ball live, complaining about fouls as if they were made to a family member of mine, singing at the top of my lungs what the Lugano FC fans were saying... From this I got one of my best moments: when we sang a song in Spanish! It is very common in Argentina and I knew it in the World Cup that they won. It was very epic, really. Everything was super epic.

I thought I had more photos, but I took more videos that day, and seeing them to make this post brought back the memory in 4K and I even shed a tear, so I decided to share this with you.
